(pictures always good) just add onto thread anything you have done to your E39 ??? well today i fitted my salvage colour matched lip spoiler (Topaz blue) £30 and also book my car to have my 18" Para's chem stripped / shot blasted / powder coated (before pic yakkk..) Machinehead 198 Report post Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) techincally, yesterday, I changed the thermostat and viscous fan on the 5, and took the Micra for a run to charge in and free the brakes (stood for a bit). Today I ran the 5 about and then thrashed it (at erm 70) up the dual carriage way and back (about 10 miles round trip) to check temperature, which didn't get above 97c even when back in the 40 then 30 limits, so happy with the job New viscous fan is noisy though!!! 540i777 28 Report post Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) Fitted new 'unbreakable' adjusters to o/s headlight, drilled drainage hole under adjuster motor and discovered terrorist mouse attack (See Mice post). Made yet another unanswered phone call to previous owner's mobile to see if he has found missing/removed sand beige rear seats .... Fitted genuine fire extinguisher and oddments tray to Bluetooth eject box 4. Cleaned up seized bonnet catch Only took about an hour after work.
