Eisenmann Sport + Rogue Engineering X-Pipe = V8 Heaven and no Drone

Recommended Posts

Just had the above fitted to my e39 M5 at Munich Legends, from the outside it sounds like an exotic race car.....but from the inside no drone at idle or when cruising around town or on the motorway.....but when you put your foot down the sound is incredible....obviously exhausts are always a personal thing but even my wife likes it when sitting inside the car.

Yes the RE x pipe is resonated.(3")

Supersprint is ?2.5" unresonated.

I'm running headers and 100 cell cats.

Maca's got the Eisenmann Race, mines the sport version.

Looking forward to hearing yours to see how it compares to my Evolve system.

Not sure how you'd compare unless both cars were in the same video. There's plenty on YouTube already, will get one done this weekend hopefully.

My impression:

Eisenmann race + Supersprint x pipe (maca's car)

- sounds kinda sexy and angry. Think Angelina Jolie trying to head butt you.

Eisenmann Sport + RE coupe + VM headers:

Not Angry, Sounds like it means business. Not as sexy as the Eisenmann Race sound. Think Sassy Business Woman.

I've not heard the evolve exhaust in person.

Hi, i got it from ca automotive for the x pipe & Eisenmann. The xpipe was~ 500-600 inc vat. Not cheap for what it is, but it is shipped from the US.

Ok i see it on the CA website now, thanks.

I'm not wanting anything too loud but would prefer a more raspy noise than American muscle car V8 sound, more of  a Ferrari V8 sound if that makes sense.

If i buy the Rogue X pipe do i still need to chop the exhaust or does the X pipe just bolt on to the CATS ? Sounds a bit anal but i don't really want to butcher my exhaust by chopping the rear boxes off to fit the Eisenmann  as when i sell the car i'll put the standard system back on. So from the CATS back the stock exhaust is one piece ?

Simon.

What is the difference in design between rogue and Supersprint x pipe?

Currently running FMU boxes with Supersprint x pipe on my M and looking to go down headers road next. Love the FMU's which are more American V8 rumble but I do have slight drone at 2k. While bearable for me daily, it would be nice to bring it down

the rogue engineering pipe's resonated - it might be cheaper for you to go to a specialist exhaust shop e.g. hayward and scott and have your SS X-pipe's resonated if you're thinking of reducing drone - or try evolve's H pipes. alternatively i've got an oem X-Pipe lying around. i assume stock exhaust is not an option after headers?
