i have acquired some E12 recaros to  go into my e28 ... they are to be  trimmed (hopefully ) in the same  material as the original  seats ...  Polster Ausführung) is trim for the seats --> 0544.   .  roughly  what are people paying to have 2 front seats retrimmed  in fabric ?

I was quoted £800 for leather including the materials so depends on whether you are suppling the material, but I would budget at least £200 a seat  less the material its a lot of work

Check out d:class automotive in Surry.

I had a complete interior done by d:class.

https://www.dclass.co.uk/gallery_images/bmw-525e/

Their attention to detail is outstanding and well worth the cost if you desire an OEM look with a better than stock quality of finish.

I recommend d:class without hesitation.

Best regards,

Mick

I've got the Half-leather sports seats in my E24.

8 new leather bolsters (2 seats) cost £350 to have made, I did the removal and fitting myself though. Managed to save the cloth. All the foams were reused, new wadding was pocket change from an upholstery shop.

Lloydy was looking for pine green rear headrests and sourced some material here at his 23 May 2018 post:

Ivo may be a possible guy to ask as he is an E28 specialist based in the Netherlands:

If you have your interior colour code then RealOEM should be able to help you find the part number as BMW sold the material by the running meter.  Armed with a part number and a material code number so may find a good automotive upholstry shop can source the correct material more easily:

Keep us posted with your progress.

Be good to know if you find a good source for OEM quality material.

Most E28's are in need of interior work by now.  The youngest E28 is now 34 years old

Just looked at your post with the code number 0133 so updated the earlier post:

Long shot by try the main stealers as item 02 part number 51.92.1.883.784 in not showing as "ENDED" but does not have a price against it so could still be available from BMW.

Better shot as item 03 part number 51.92.1.883.778 is not showing as "ENDED" and still has a price attached.  This is usually a good indicator that it may still be available from BMW.

Best regards,

Mick

Just update my earlier post as BMW may actually have some of this available if Real OEM is accurate, which is mostly is but not always.

Best regards,

Mick

Bugger,

More and more E28 parts are going NLA

Have a look on E-bay Germany, I think I remember some places in eastern Europe selling OEM material from a roll by the running meter.

Have a look around in some of the less main stream areas, that's when I tend to stumble across some of the more difficult to find stuff.

Good luck with your search.

Best regards,

Mick

yep thats where my search has brought me to mate .. one in NL and other germany ... spoke to a guy at classic bahnstormers  today .. nice bloke  put me in touch with a few  so hopefully we might be in luck ...   another option  would be to buy 2 rear seat backs  new  and use the fabric to  recover the new  front seats ...  or even  sacrifice  the old original material off the  2  front seats and use that  so hopefully im gonna have a few option ...

Hullo Sharkfan,

I'm quite amazed that I managed to save the seats to be honest.

I'm quite Ashamed to admit I haven't laid a finger on the E24 restoration for approximately 2 years.

I hereby wish to offer penance HERE  in the project thread, with a brief explanation and plenty of pictures of course.

Hope all is well,

HD.
