2000 manual Alpina E39 touring

Recommended Posts

Lovely car - I remember that was about £12k four years ago - not done many miles since though.

They say it's a six speed manual - hmmmm I don't remember the B10 3.2 or 3.3 coming with anything other than a 5 speed manual or auto.

Only 6 speed manual is the 540i and M5 in the e39 range aiui.

I was looking at e46 SMG wheels the other day - advert shows an M3 SMG e46 breaker but wheel is clearly without paddles

Hi,

Possibly converted to a 6spd manual at some point in it's life?

The trader selling it does get nice cars but also gets descriptions wrong, I had it when he was selling some wheels and didn't really know except they were 'rare' and 'period correct' and had a new retail price of 'over £3000' !

Lets see if this Touring sells anytime soon and at/near this asking price - never know!

Cheers, Dennis!

Not saying, the car hasn't been converted to a 6-speed gearbox

In several articles and an unofficial ALPINA book.  The B10 3.3 has been misreported as having 6 forward gears and not 5.  The term dealer copy and paste from an article comes to mind
