Crankcase Breather Valve Fixed…. Whiff of Petrol

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, just replaced the crankcase breather valve on my E60 530i 2003/4 and I have a whiff of petrol coming into the cabin.
would it have been wise to replace the O Rings on the injectors or is there a potential part that doesn’t like to be unseated that may cause this?

The car goes like a rocket and very responsive !

cheers

I'd check for a leaky or wet joint on the engine bay fuel rails. Or maybe fuel has pooled somewhere whilst the work was carried out but that should soon evaporate.

Cheers my good man love the advice. Took the top cover off and found number five was covered in fuel and looks like when I reassembled it I nicked the O ring.
