E39 M5 Front Coil Springs

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon to you all.

I’m located in the U.k. and looking for someone who sells Coil Springs for the M5, as my drivers side one has snapped, whilst parked overnight?

much appreciate any advice

If you want to keep you car absolutely stock then your best route is to speak to the parts department at your chosen BMW dealer. They'll have the correctly rated springs for your car. As far as I can tell, this information (*for stock springs*) is not available anywhere else. This info isn't listed on Realoem, only the dealers can provide it.

My experience when wanting to refresh my M5 suspension a few years ago:-

There'll be some generic springs available from a few manufacturers - only a few - but these are unlikely to match the exact spring rating of the BMW original equipment ones. There's several specialist aftermarket solutions but these often lower the ride height and give a 'sportier' (slightly firmer) ride.

As above; @cotswoldbmwmini will be able to sort you for OEM springs; you'll not source them anywhere else unfortunately

If you want aftermarket; look into Eibach or H&R
