Chris Harris's 'DIY" E34 M5 on CC

Recommended Posts

Be interesting if it goes for more than he paid (£15K from memory). Will the previous owner star power push its price up. Car itself while looking like a lot of fun is quite scruffy from what I can see.

Skint Dave - as always. I did have a genuine M5 Touring once, BL01500, but the engine blew and the body was rotten so I sold it off and it was broken for parts.

Rose tinted specs are a dangerous thing - i had a now £15k Mk1 Astra GTE 20 odd years ago and then i remember it was a rotten shed!

As a sum of parts it's probably about right at the £15k bid as of today.  Looks great from a distance, however a fair bit of tidying required on the body which could soon mount up. Nice little project never the less.

cableguy, how is your e34 Touring coming along?

I sometimes forget I have it... however body done, engine in and running with just some cable tidying and exhaust to fabricate. Plan is to get it back in the autumn for interior fit and replace or renew trims as required.
