530nm 9 Report post Posted February 12 I've been searching high and low about DPF issues and removal. Just want to know, if you remove the DPF and gut the insides or replace with a DPF delete pipe, will it still need coding? If its case of just swapping parts over or gutting the inside of existing DPF then have no issues in doing this myself, however if coding is needed, will need to find someone which is going to delay things and be a bit of a nightmare. edd_jedi 190 Report post Posted February 12 I believe both coding and a remap are required. Pretty sure you need to remove the EGR too. Why do you want to remove it?
Mo_1986 90 Report post Posted February 12 Dpf removal requires the regen to be turned off via coding. Mapping is good too as you'll kill 2 birds with 1 stone and egr can stay on or off, your choice.
JasonH 170 Report post Posted February 14 If you remove it then it's an instant fail. If it appears present then that's OK as long as you pass the smoke test. Taking it off and pressure washing it out with detergent will bring it back. Although initially the water will be a bit of blockage until that has dried out.
