Just a feeler: F11 535i sport touring - ideally manual!!

Recommended Posts

Drive an auto - it's probably the first generation whereby you could definitely say it's way ahead of the manual. Better mpg and lower emissions too.

Even the auto's are hard to come by.

By the way contrary to the E39 they are M Sport not Sport .......;)

I think i have to accept the inevitability of two pedals in the family wagon before too long....

You know the sport / M sport thing really doesn't bother me

Maybe, the mrs is keen to move away from diesel. and we need something of reasonable size.

535i sounds interesting rather than all the 520d i see.

If the right thing came along i would be interested in a conversation.

The e39 is a lovely thing but it is just a car and i don't have to keep it forever, we've had it 6 now.

F11 535i Petrol even in Auto is a hard thing to find, however the box is an absolute peach and if you find the Sports Auto Box option ticked then at least you can play with the manual function & flappy paddles.

Took me a good while to find a car but worth the wait.

Here's a fine looking car with a few nice options: https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/10999683?cId=10954032&cId=10982766&cId=10912760&cId=10970133&cId=10999683&cId=10926578&cId=10926666&cId=10926667&cId=10927227&cId=10927719&cId=10927732&cId=10838135&cId=11022139&cId=11022151&cId=11022152&cId=10927513&cId=10927626&cId=10927783&cId=10927822&cId=10957788

Two F11 535i Sports on both Ebay & Autotrader, one 2012 and one 2016. 2 or 3 for sale at any one time is a rarity so you're spoilt for choice...

New listing and looks a great spec late car. Question mark over a repair but could be a good bargaining tool...: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-535i-Touring-M-Sport-Fully-Loaded-HUD-Pan-roof-EDC/293828386052?hash=item4469895d04:g:lY0AAOSwqTxfeIUu

Never seen a manual F11 535i. My brother has a 535i touring on a 66 plate, dark blue with white/cream leather, auto. He generally swaps cars every 12 months and it must be about that time again. If he does I will let you know.

Agree that's very strong money especially from a none AUC trader.

Other than 19"s, wide screen professional nav, it's not well specced.

Service history needs looking into - last one was over 3 years ago according to the screen.

That's a £17 - £18k car imho

I genuinely think you're going to pay a premium for a 535i Touring in petrol guise, they're few and far between so there will only ever be a handful to compare and view.

It's a lottery with spec. I'd list your absolute must have's and anything else will be a bonus.

Search for a Diesel and and you can pretty much choose your colour, spec and engine size.

I'm not in a hurry though and they seem to come up reasonably often the best one was the 11 plate with AUC warranty i felt.

If the right one comes along that's fine else the money can sit in the bank - its not like an e39 is a chore!

Are you still looking?

I have a low mileage late car with mega spec. Due to arrival of a new hound, family staycations etc. i'm thinking of going down the VW Transporter route.
