Sir Stirling Moss

Recommended Posts

Yes a great racing driver who will be sadly missed - remember a great program about his Mille Miglia win in the Merc SLR around 1955.

We’ve lost an utter legend today I’d say.

I still can’t get my head around his mille miglia win. 1000 miles at average 100mph through Italy..... in flipping 1955!

Just let that sink in. Average 100mph for 10 hrs on rural Italian open roads....

RIP Sir Stirling.

Tim Brooke-Taylor has gone too. :(

The spooky thing about when I read Tim Brooke-Taylor.  I had ITV on, they were showing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  Just turned my eyes to the TV, and the next split second the scene had Tim Brooke-Taylor as the computer guy

Met Stirling Moss in the paddock at Donnington a few years ago when he was racing historic cars. He spent some time talking to me and my wife about all sorts not just cars, great bloke.
