My lowering springs just raised the car

Recommended Posts

Just spent the whole day doing the back springs on my e39 530d sport.

I bought -50mm lowering springs. Got both back done, dropped it down and the sodding thing is higher than it was before. Anyone know why this might be?

Old springs may have been totally done and the car may have been sitting lower due to that.

Also new springs may take a few days to settle a bit.

Old springs shouldn’t sag that much surely?!

Are the springs sat properly on the base plate?
