E39 Style 81 Alloys & Winter Tyres - £100!

Recommended Posts

Better pictures to follow this weekend. Hopefully a bargain for someone?

Have a set of 5x BMW Style 81 alloys. 4 are shod in Kleber winter tyres, 1 is shod in an all season tyre (forget the brand.. need to find the wheel in the back of the garage!). The winter tyres are getting on a little bit in so much as they're showing some hairline cracks in places, but still have tonnes of tread on them - easily 6mm.

The alloys are overall in fairly decent shape.. some are a little kerbed, one of them has virtually no kerbing. The spare with the all season tyre is a bit tatty.

But I think £100 is a bargain for someone? Wheels are located in Sutton Coldfield or Coventry (whichever is easier for you). No offers please at this price.

Following a question via PM, the DOT code ages the tyres at October 2011. I had zero issues in the few months I ran them last winter and there's tonnes of meat left on them.. could easily get another year or two out of them I'm sure.

I managed to secure a sale with someone elsewhere thankfully.. just waiting for the Corona madness to blow over before we can arrange collection. I paid something like 250 quid for them and thought I got a good deal.. I barely got any interest in the end but have eventually had to settle for 75 quid. I guess if I was trying to sell right at the start of a snowy winter I might have more success :-)

Now sold. At the risk of incurring the wrath of Dan, the purchaser works on a breakdown patrol and (handily) works in and around the area I live.. he's out working, came past the house, I'd put the wheels at the end of the drive, he took em away. Social distancing thoroughly maintained. Payment via bank transfer! Cheers.
