My 1985 528i auto - 29k miles!!

What a lovely car, totally unmolested.  How it should be.

~£50 for mudflaps and another ~£50 for mats would have been mental money back in 1985 for such things.  Especially as the M tweaked suspension was only another £70.

Number plates are still £10 each from BMW dealers, I paid that for the last lot I got made up.

Isn’t it crazy? How can a suspension package be £20 more than mud flaps!??????

Well thats rather lovely, does it need much?

Drives beautifully. Very tight. Feels like a new car. Plenty of minor gremlins after being off the road for years, electrics doing funny things. But nothing major. My mechanic, a bmw specialist, says never seen one as intact, very little replaced.

That is superb. Such amazing condition too. When I was in primary school in the early 80s one of my teachers had a lovely red e28 525i that looked like yours with a private reg LB55i as her name was Linda Barclay.
