Charged Air Temperature Sensor

Recommended Posts

i plugged my C110+  int he other day to check for error codes and other figures whilst driving. I noticed that my charged air temperature was 85 degrees! (this is from a cold start). Other temps like air intake & ambient were much lower and accurate. So i've ordered a new sensor and i'm pretty sure this would point to a faulty sensor (the temp barely changes whilst driving). I have since unplugged the sensor to test the car without it, and there is definitely more pick up below 2k rpm now. More urgency and a stronger pull.

I am keen to know what would have caused the engine to not run like this before. Would the ECU have seen the high temps and reduced the boost/intake to keep the engine temps low?
