RichardP 1,113 Report post Posted September 11, 2017 If you get 'No iPod' and the iPod charges then you must have a moded KCA-420i. I've seen a couple of iPods that just don't work when using the dock connector. It's not just the KCA-420i, the iPods must have some connector or internal fault that stops them working. So, first have a good look in the dock connector on the iPod and the connector on the KCA-420i cable, if they are free of dirt and look ok the next thing to try is another iPod. RichardP 1,113 Report post Posted September 16, 2017 One or two iPods just don't work for no apparent reason. I've come across maybe 5 or 6, they look fine and work in all other respects, they are just not recognised by the KCA-420i.
Dinnis 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2017 (edited) Are there any settings on the intravee to change? Tryd more iPods an the only ones to work were the old ones in the work, big chunky numbers. Both my own and my brothers iPod classic 160gb don't work. is there maybe a specific iPod that will work? Don't really want to have to replace one that's not broken lol Edited September 21, 2017 by Dinnis
RichardP 1,113 Report post Posted September 21, 2017 The KCA-420i controls all interfacing to the iPod so there is nothing the Intravee can do. The 160Gb Classic should be fine, it does not need a charge converter as it supports 12V charging, the Classic is the 2nd best iPod to use, the older 5.5 Gen iPod is the best (and can be upgraded to 250Gb).
