The story of E39 M5 AK03 DJJ (so far)

Recommended Posts

After having a new starter motor fitted to solve a long standing intermittent start problem (which suddenly became not intermittent!), having got rather dusty at the garage and taking her for a good blast down the local Yorkshire lanes, time for a clean.

She wears her 18 years rather well I think.

Still can't think of another car I'd rather have than this as an all rounder

What a fantastic way to spend a Sunday evening!  Thank you Richard, I just read your entire thread and it was an excellent read. The level of detail and attention to detail you have bestowed on it is amazing.  I feel as if I know the car personally now!

And indeed, it still looks fantastic!

Another year passes and another MOT pass with no advisories.  Just under 500 miles this year since the last MOT, not a lot, but enough to keep things moving.  Miraculously managed to get out and back without catching any rain, the E34 is unlikely to be so lucky, so she is now tucked up and probably won't come out again until next spring.

What a great read. I think your attention to detail is brilliant.

Thanks.  19 years since it rolled off the production line today.
