Brand New Bilstein B12 ***SOLD***

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I have for sale a brand new in the box Bilstein B12 kit for an E39 530d Saloon. These have never been fitted, only removed from the box once to ogle them when they arrived. The dampwrs and TUV approval suggest they are also suitable for other 6 cylinder models

I've had a change of plans and priorities, so these need to go. This is the older kit with blue springs, but as said it's brand new and still contains the same B8 dampers. It offers a 30mm drop all round (expect less when replacing M Tech/Sport suspension).

These are priced sensibly at £480 with collection preferred from Stockport, Cheshire or I can post for another £20.

I will try and get in the garage in the next day or two to take pictures and get part numbers on the dampers etc.

Cheers

Chris

Pictures as promised. Looking at the dampers and the German blurb on the TUV approval, they actually seem to be for all 6 cylinder models

This kit will lower a standard SE decently, but will it lower a Sport which already has the M-Tech II suspension (ie. lower from factory)?

Erm. Pass. If you know the measurements I'll get the tape measure out

Short shocks are 36.5mm from the bottom of perch plate to bottom of shock cheers Steve

Expect around a 15mm drop on a Sport, as I believe they are 15mm lower than an SE

From what I've read; they're harder, but not overly hard to detract from the ride etc... They'll allow better handling/cornering, but don;t sacrifice too much of the smoothness though

Lots of reviews on this kit on bimmerforums.com etc :)

As above really. From what I've seen from other people that have had them, they are firmer, but not bone shaking. Just a nice upgrade from standard

Just back to the drop again, sorry...

These will drop a Sport 15mm than it already is, even though the Sports are lower than the SE from factory?
