  1. With not many able to drive their E60s much due to lockdown, I'm seeing lots of Simulation vids on YouTube, mostly M5s. Have I missed a trick here, what's the best PC simulators on a budget? Such as Forza Horizon 4 for PC, that I know little about. Instant action, realism, physics, damage, customisation etc. Hardware requirements and costs? Any other recommendations? Edit: Project CARS 2 (on the Steam Platform), might download the demo later.

    Software issue

There was a time when I could play tracks from my mobile via bluetooth, but now my Software is stuck! When I try and play tracks from my mobile, the screen shows an Unknown Track and Unknown Album "Please wait . . . ". I've waited 2 hours but it never finds a track and I can't can't change the search ie its stuck. I have the latest version of software, . . . . . and I've re-loaded, ensuring the original is overwritten just in case the software was corrupted I have tried 2 different phones, and its the same with both phones I have deleted and re-connected the phones from Bluetooth And I have made sure there is a Unknown Track in an Unknown Album on the phones. . . . but I can't get the systems out of searching But When I select tracks from a USB memory stick, no problem, it plays OK. Everything works. The phones do work fine using Bluetooth. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd be very grateful to hear them

Carly or Software best for this... ?

Hello I am a complete novice to coding, BMW fault finding software etc, could some of you guys with experience of this offer some guidance on the best option for my needs. My PDC sensors are acting up ! and I need to find out which one is faulty, They are detecting an obstacle when there are none. My car is a 2008 LCI 2.0d E61 M Sport Touring. From a quick search of the forum it looks like there are two options (1) Carly (about £100) (2) INPA sofware & cable. (£20-60, Ebay) Which one would be best to detect and clear the PDC sensor faults ? Cost is a factor. I've heard that Carly is good for the novice (me) whereas INPA can be a problem to install and use ? Any guidance would be really appreciated - thanks.
  4. Hi all So I'm just about to remap my '04 535d, but first would like to update the EGS (gearbox) software to the latest version (with V48 files I believe). This will hopefully remove the 2->1 kickdown issue, change shift points, and smooth out the gears overall. I've only heard positive things about it. I've managed to get INPA up and running on my Win7 64-bit laptop and reset gearbox adaptations, but that's as far as I can go. DIS, WinKFP etc... it's all a bit over my head. I have a freshly installed Win7 32-bit laptop and a wifi connection that should reach my car, so I'm hoping there's somebody out there who is willing to help out with a little remote coding session to update my EGS. Anybody have any suggestions? Cheers! Chris.
  5. Hi. Being new to E61 ownership, I'm redaing alot about 'software' upgrades? Please can someone explain what this is...what it does and the benefits of doing it? My E61 is a 05/55 Msport if this helps with correct answers? Many thanks
