This an 1997 e39 M52 b25 or BMW 523i 2,5L. There have been made some alterations to the outside look of the car that came as a kit from AC Schnitzer , namely; the side skirts on the sills, rear spoiler/diffuser, boot lid spoiler, rear window skirt and heated electrical mirrors in aluminum housing. The car also came with a spoiler for the old standard front bumper that is no longer on sins I replaced it for the M5 bumper. The front wings are made out of steel with an opening for the "side airflow vents" very fancy description, especially when they do not vent a thing but, actually it is possible to make them fully functional to vent the engine compartment (maybe that could be a project in the future, if I'm bored) and finally there is the M5 bumper. You can better see the hole in the outside of the wing hear; "Paint/Pain Work At Stage One"
Our early LCI has memory seats and mirrors and they function as you'd expect using the buttons on the driver's seat. The car has two fobs but until recently I've been virtually the sole driver and just used the same fob all the time and set the seats/mirrors to Button 1. On the odd occasion my wife drives she has tended to just prod Button 2 for her seat/mirror settings. However, although the mirrors autoadjust with either fob the seats don't. This applies whichever fob we use. I think iDrive is correctly set (or presumably the mirrors bit wouldn't work?) so maybe there's a separate setting for the seats. Any ideas please folks?
Hi Guys, I've had a look through the forums and i know this has been ask before but i wanted to make sure. I have a 530i m sport and with electric folding/heated/auto dimming mirrors but I'm thinking of retrofitting aftermarket m5 mirrors, either from SSDD or ebay. As mine are already electric would it be a simple plug and play?? Also on the SSDD websites there's with and without memory glass, is this if your car has memory seats?? Also I've read problems about people receiving LHD versions.
