  1. Here we use metric, but since I got the car from the UK, it is in miles. I changed the units to KM from i-drive but the cruise control remained in mls/hr. I was provided kindly with this change from 3 series : Dsc moduleC0C_V_EINHEITWert_00 ---> km/hWert_01 ---> mlsC0C_SETZ_V_MAXWert_01 ---> km/hwert_02 ---> mls but when doing it, it changes to km/h at idle, however when moving the cruise control turns into yellow and gives and error and will not engage. Has anyone ever changed this, please? Do I need to change something from the VO? or change the kombi from UK to ECE ? any guidance, please? Thank you as always Regards
  2. Howdy ! I just picked up a gorgeous '02 E39 ES SE to replace my written off one. Only two flies in the ointment: 1) a couple of PDC sensors are duff, and 2). the CC doesn't work. Sensors are a doddlle I've researched this fine resource and found there are a stack of potential things to fix to resolve the CC problem. i really don't want to just go down the list starting at the easiest and cheapest potential solution until I run out of tricks or money Is there a diagnosis guide anywhere please ? Symptoms: No CC dash light, nothing happens when I press any of the buttons. No other symptoms or warning lights other than Square brake fluid clock when I first start her up. Incidentally the CC icon doesn't light when I turn the ignition on either. Thanks in advance
  3. Hi all, since this is my first post, let me introduce myself. My name is Chris, I'm from Denmark, but live in sweden (just moved here). I'm new to the Bimmer-world, and have purchased my first one: a 2009 E61 520D. I'm having an issue with the steptronic-gearbox. When i'm driving with a steady foot on the gas, it seems to be shifting up and down between the gears (like, it would shift between 3rd and 4th constantly). This happens at speeds from 20-80 mph - above 80mhp, it seeme to be working fine. It's as if it cant decide which gear to be in. If I set the cruise control, it gets "worse" - especially on a slight incline. shifting manually does not produce the issue.. car has done 240KKM with full service. Any ideas as to what can be wrong? Advice is greatly appreciated.
