530d se battery light on help!

Ok for the last 2 or 3 weeks my battery light has been constantly on . Iv had no ill effects although the battery isn't very old . The car starts runs and drives fine. Is there any reasons why the light would be constantly on?
  2. Hi everyone, There is not many accurately detailed posts on this, I've had a look & I'm a bit unsure on what to do so any advice will help. I've been keeping up on this forum for years however this is my first topic so excuse me if I'm doing anything wrong.. I have a 535d M Sport Pre LCI with the ugly hazey Halogen headlights. I've managed to pickup a pair of BMW Pre LCI Dynamic Xenon headlights with the ballast (and I think headlight module) without the bulbs or bulb holder for £50! Which I think is bargain of the century. I wanted to know what my options were. The route I was thinking of going as a last resort was, HID with bulb holder, and some E53 X5 SMD LED Angel Rings which I bought as I know these are the same measurements for the angels on E60's. Is there any other way to do it so I can get the Dynamic Xenon also working with the whole steering wheel etc.. Will there be any coding required? Do I need any additional parts etc. Thanks, Nahid
  3. I really fancy changing some of the traditional light bulbs for some LED ones to give the car a more modern look. However, I'm aware that there can be problems fitting LED light bulbs, particularly the cheap or older LEDs which can cause errors, rapid flashing (indicators), Night club strobing (cold check), or simply not bright as traditional bulbs. I have seen on youtube people fitted "modern" canbus LEDs that doesn't cause the problems mentioned above, and thought I'd jut dig further into it before spending money on them. At the moment, I'm only interested in fitting these bulbs for the front and rear indicators, reverse, and possibly brakes lights. So has any one fitted them before? Here a video of these canbus bright LED bulbs. Maybe I can try 50W?
  4. one of the bulb holders for the license plate on my e39 is broken and ive been looking on ebay for replacments. i see alot of LED unit available. has anyone tried any of these LED units or do they make the car look very boy racer!!? if you get me. im tempted to just go with OEM effect. but id appreciate opinions

    Is this kit worth it?

Was wondering if you guys think this kit is worth it or if its over priced and you could source cheaper by buying individually. Also are the puddle lights a straight fit? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-5-SERIES-E39-LED-NUMBER-PLATE-INTERIOR-LIGHT-KIT-/250819538794

    5th brake light..

I've watched a few of this guys videos...he doesn't half waffle on, and could just make the points needed - but a few of his videos are very informative... this one has me wondering if the car would throw up any error messages? I know if a bulb is out you get a error because of the lack of resistance on the circuit, but is there an error for too high of a resistence? seems a very simple mod that wouldn't hurt to do... but then it does look like you have a light out too... hmmm - could possibly use it to make another reverse light too for those that back up in the door alot in garages etc (IF NO pdc)
