Hi RichardP, The first of all is to give you a thousand thanks for the patience you have with everyone and admire that you continue updating this great project that I sincerely learned about 2 months ago and I am perplexed by this invention of essential module for me and sure that for everyone too. Second forgive me for my bad English, I will use Google translate (although I think it is worse). I have several questions that I will be asking little by little to not overwhelm you. I have the intravee switch and I would like to be able to update it to the latest version just like the intravee (for improvements nothing more) I understand as I have read, it is updated by updating the same intravee module, but the intravee software (in this case 6.02 7155) Should this intravee switch software be included, which there are versions that you did not include by size, could you clarify if the last version of April 2019 included that update for the switch? In this case, how would you proceed to update the two things at once? Same as the intravee module alone? Thank you and I await your response before proceeding to do anything
As shown in the attached diagram I've been using an Intravee II on my car for several years now and it's been a really solid device. I recently purchased an Intravee Switch to allow me to add an AUX input to the system. So new to the system are the Switch, a new AI Net cable and the Aux input cable (Shown in green on the diagram) However I'm having problems getting it to select the different inputs. Sometimes it doesn't seem to find any sources, and other times it can find all sources and I can switch to a different Net input, but Src:Aux is not showing up on the MID when I select the Aux input although I can hear it playing fine. However sometimes it won't let me switch back to the iPod, and pressing select on the MID for input Net 1 does nothing. I'm running the latest firmware (fw-app-256 - extras V6.02-7508.blf) and have flashed it again with the Switch connected. It also works fine when I remove the switch from the system. What could be wrong here? Intravee V2 Log.txt
Gents: First, thanks for keeping the Intravee threads alive! Second, I have a 7 series E38 2001, with Mk IV Nav. and widescreen. About to retrofit Bluetooth from Bimmernav. At the same time I install the Bluetooth I intend to install my Intravee II along with a brand new KCA 420i and a KCA410c. The 410c is so that I can add at least a satellite radio and possibly other future goodies. However, for some reason I never spotted the Intravee switch and I am very attracted by its small size due to how I intend to install. I managed to purchase a broken BMW CD player. I have gutted it, and will be putting the Intravee(s) and the KCA(s) inside with the Intravee serial cable inside the hinged lid. I'm doing this for aesthetics and I understand the Intravee knocks out the BMW CD player. Is that correct? (If anyone is interested I will post pictures - well I thought it was a cool idea.) What, if any, are the pluses and minuses between the Intravee Switch and the KCA410c as I do not mind changing horses midstream? (I also know I can sell my 410c for a profit!). Thanks OfftheGrid
