  1. Hi everybody, Today I would like to share something about installing 12mm+12mm BONOSS Forged Lightweight Plus Wheel Spacers for my BMW 3 Series (G20) 330i with you. My BMW 3 Series (G20) 330i: Chassis model: VII (G20) PCD: 5*112 mm CB: 66.5 mm Thread: M12*1.5 mm I got them on eBay, took me several days to receive them. I can't wait to install them on my vehicle. But before you choose the right spacers, you need to measure the thickness data that fit the wheels: Cleaning the wheel hub: Much better after cleaning. Now let's get to the installation part: Since I get the right data, I can install them easily! Let's take a look: Fit perfectly, right? As you guys can see, compared with the original car, it has been greatly improved in appearance and stability. Thanks for reading!

    Newbie with a E28 M535i

Hello everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself and my latest addition to the family, Fünf (not the dog, she's Scooby-Douche), that I picked up last week. I bought the car from another forum member (GCM535i) and have just left it in to get some work done whilst in China - if anyone can recommend a good sprayer please let me know! No doubt I will need some parts, advice on upgrades and so on in the coming weeks so I look forward to hearing from you all. Cheers, Ian

    530 MLE - Purchased!

Whilst we are all dealing with Covid-19 and the extraordinary times set upon us, this has allowed me crack on with finishing my E28 M535i (on a separate thread) and scratch another itch i have had brewing for some time in the shape of an E12! I actually started out looking for a E28 M5 and quickly found myself mid search ending up on E12 M535i images, old for sale adverts and reading about other peoples projects. Thats when i came across Reg No: RDA 30 - a Henna Red E12 M535i that was previously owned by a member on here for many years and most recently owned by a Dutch chap who again, decided to sell before getting on with any major restoration work. I need to say thanks to Eric (Dutch chap) who was super helpful to me whilst considering buying his M535i - sent tonnes of images, videos, recommissioned the car mechanically and spent 45 minutes with me on video call showing me around the good, the bad and the ugly. Ultimately, in the end i passed up on the car as i spent the past 3 years restoring my E28 M535i in between work, travel and deciding what route i wanted to go which cost me a lot of time, money and enjoyment of driving the car. I didn't want that again so immediately parked the idea and promised myself no more until the E28 M535i was complete...then i would know if its just boredom during CV19 or if the idea would go away once i started to enjoy driving the E28 M535i. Again, its been 3 years!! As with all best intentions, they are not the solution to solve our problems and before i knew it i had somehow found myself in contact with a motorbike collector about a Ducati that - ironically -came about through someone helping me source an E28 M5 that i actually didn't want... It turned out the gentleman who owned the Ducati had many bikes in his collection and like any treasure hunt i asked the inevitable question - "do you collect cars?" Does he what...!!!! What came across via an email in the form of a 6 page Excel spreadsheet + a WeTransfer link to download supporting images and videos simply blew me away. I wont get into the car list as i wont know where to start but in short i will tell you where i started.... the columns with the letter B. In amongst the plethora of cars was of course a 2002 Turbo, E23 745i (M88 engine) manual, E30 333i, E30 Alpina C7, E34 Alpina B10 and then..... a E12 530 MLE. What happened next was pretty damn obvious and yes, best intentions and all that got cast aside immediately. Anyone who knows how rare it is to find an E12 is in good condition will know how even rarer a very clean E12 M535i is... the E12 530 MLE is probably next to unicorn status in terms of rarity, provenance and so on... So, today i can say i am the owner of a E12 530 MLE, number 23 of 110 Type 1 models ever built, that will come to the UK in the next few months (pending lockdown, shipping dates etc...). From the research i have done so far - limited at best - i dont believe there are any other 530 MLE in the UK? I waited 3 years to finish my E28 M535i and like waiting for that one bus you desperately want to arrive.... two come along at the same time!

BMW E61 Rear fog lights as drl

Hello, im newbie here, found that this forum is very friendly and helpfull, already got a bunch of help for coding and etc. I would like to ask some question, one day i was looking at mine e61 (pre-FL) and decided that rear look of the car looks much better when rear fog lights is on. It is possible to somehow code them to run all the time with drl? Also by lowering voltage by bit, so they wont blind people behind me. Was searching all over the internet to get my answer without a luck, sorry if there is already answer to my question in the forum. Will wait for replies!

    BMW 320d 2007 RPM Shaking

IMG_1656 2.mov Hi everyone, When I take my foot off the gas pedal while driving on the road in a normal course, the car starts to swing between 1500 and 900 rpm. I cleaned the MAP and MAF sensors, but it has not improved. What could be the reason for this?

    I NEED HELP!!

Can anyone help me source a black M Sport E39 (2002) bumper with PDC and headlight washers? I’ve cracked mine (in the photo)!!
  7. Hello! Must say iam quiet new to the bmw world but I fast realized that the e60/e61’s have a reputation of having some electrical problems. To my case, I have a e61 525d 2006, 33xxx km, flawless no problems reaaaally well kept! Until some weeks ago. It started with abs and tire pressure sensor popping up when I accelerated in a certain way. If I kept driving and doing it that certain way it after a while went in to lipmode because I trows engine, transmission, abs, power steering and all sorts of codes. if I drive it in low rpm’s I never does it! sometimes it never trows a code (rare) NOW! my guess from me reading other peoples similar problems. It’s the alternator regulator? Or ibs cable? car is pending between 14,5 -15,25v and When I turn it off it goes doe to ish 12,40v i never had water in my spare wheelwell, but I had one of the green relays burnt out on me (changed it) i have videos but but don’t know how to upload. Sorry for bad English and thanx in advance!!! Edit: when it goes in to limp mode and turn it off, it will get same codes after like 10m of driving. But! If I park it over night no problems until I drive it for a while (30-60min) then it starts to throw “small” codes and after a while go in to limp mode. I know for shure the abs and tire-pressure isn’t a real problem with the car i have got the sensors checked and calibrated. codes that comes up randomly is: transmission fault, battery terminal, tire pressure, engine failure, rear light (not broken), abs, power steering, chassie control. 0BAF993E-A6C1-4412-96D8-AB516AF31968.MP4 4B3B6761-B67C-4367-A7E6-CF688067465D.MP4

    BMW Documentation

Hi all, Over the years I have managed to accumulate various pieces of BMW documentation from an assortment of sites and sources. I thought it time to place them all in one location where everyone can access them. They are available from my Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BxDd4Jzlov8Efmg5VVVEaTZVYkplN3MzaGZLQUEzaWFjU0luMl81cW9oSGxlOENGbTlKQW8&usp=sharing The folder currently contains the following: E60 engineer training modules; M Division documentation; Various E60 manuals and guides, and an assortment of BMW presentations. As I find more I will upload them to the Drive and update this post. Mods - Bearing this in mind, perhaps it would be handy to make this pinned? Best, Horsey *Please note I do not own the documents or claim to be the author of them*

    1994 BMW E34 540I - GF22093

Hello And Welcome I'm a firm believer that somethings are just meant to be and today that philosophy come bouncing into play much like it did with the Silver Unit ( Butler HQs Original Silver 540i ) Today innocently going to view an E34 with my Poppa ( Carl-E34 ).. 100 + miles from home as you do on arrival I became strongly attached to this diamond in the rough I couldn't help but think with a little Butler HQ love It could make a very special E34 and I truly thought that maybe Butler HQ was its last hope. Shes defiantly a project make no mistake about that but what else are you gonna do on a cold damp winter weekend ? before I could pull myself away as in the worlds of the late Marlon Brando the seller made me an offer I couldn't refuse... and a deal was done. I'll be embarking on this project with one person in mind. Tomorrow will be the full fat first update with all the great and gory details. Comments Welcome.

    Really loud X5 in cabin

Hi- first time on here. My X5 05 reg is so loud in the cabin as I drive, I feel like we are about to take off- the only time the noise stops is when I turn right. Anyone know what this could be? Its like the revs are really high but when I look at the monitor it’s not at all. Thank you.

  22. Hello, this is my project. Its a video clip containing only picture material and small footage of what i'm doing. I consider doing some videos of the x-pipe built, sound acceleration overview and etc. I hope you like it, the video its not professional made, but the car came out great ! There will be more videos and pictures of the car soon! Enjoy YOUTUBE VIDEO Did so far : Engine head revision; fuel pump revision; full service; new water radiator; new front window; new fk automotive suspension; new brakes; new inter-cooler; paint job; window tint; hella angel eyes; M-exterior; new battery; m preface steering wheel; led interior lights; ecu tuning; shadow-line trim; style 91 rims; (In the following months there will be even more upgrades) I did an acceleration video of the TDS, so you can see how my automatic does. i wasn't exactly stock when i did it, had a power-box. So- its power-box to chip. The conditions of the time were at the range of one week and i did them on the same road the same time. Disclaimer : The time set is between few frames approx 2-5 frames so its not accurate. YOUTUBE VIDEO Tell me your opinion about this project, i hope you like it !

    Help! 530d msport poorly

Hi all, forgive me for my inexperienced post but I'm a newbie and really need some advice. Ive got a 530d msport e60 2005 and I've had it for a few months now. It started off with an idrive problem and it's now spiralled into a few other issues and I need to know what to do with it. I want to buy some new parts, and fit them. I just need to know which ones and why etc. Firstly, the idrive system works until I turn the car on and off again. It constantly reboots. Is there a cheap easy fix? I've tried resetting it but no luck. If not I can deal with it as it's not mega issues. Secondly, a few issues which I'm not sure are all related? But here we go. It may not be in order. My car is exceptionally smokey. It plummets out black thick smoke especially when I put my foot down a bit. It is very smelly of diesel and makes me very poorly when driving with any window open. I've got thick soot on the whole left hand side of my engine bay, been told I have an exhaust manifold leak. What parts do I need to fix it and how? I don't fancy going to a garage. I also have a very whiny turbo as it spools. It's very very loud. Also a loud blowing noise. it also goes into different severities of limp modes sometimes there's absolutely no power sometimes there is. engine light came on 2 months after these problems started. The front two alloys have two ridiculously large dents in, done by previous owner. I'm not THAT much of a typical woman driver.....;) haha. I'm planning to get this sorted soon so I'm not driving round with 9psi in them!!!!! Grrrrrr I know its not the best of explanations especially hard to determine what's the problem whilst not seeing or hearing, but I'd like to get some advice as to what this could be and why and I can go from there. I don't really fancy going to a garage because either me or my partner can fix it, just need some guidance as to where to start as we're used to old jap crap. Thankyou!!!! Xxxx
  24. I recently upgraded to Throwing stars, so my original 15x7 (ET20, 72.5mm centre bore) BBS alloys are for sale, including the spare wheel. Part number for all the wheels is: 36111179774 The tyres are all 225/60/15 - the fronts are about 5-6mm (Marshal Matrac) in excellent condition and the rears are around 3-4mm (Continental ContiPremiumContact 2), which are still ok to use. The spare has an old Pirelli P600, but in good condition (5-6mm) and holds air. I have 4 centre caps and the wheels are 100% straight, balanced and tested - ready to bolt on. Would be looking around £250 ONO and collection from west London. If interested, please PM me. Thanks
