    F10 door corrosion

Apologies, I should of updated this. Bowkers had the car for approximately 1 week and I chose not to take a courtesy car. They don't have their own body shop but use HB Panelcraft in Preston. They sprayed all 4 doors on the outer skin only and I have to day did a great job, they even sprayed the o/s mirror housing gloss black as that was bubbling quite badly. A change in circumstances meant the car became surplus to requirements so I sold it a couple of weeks later and currently looking for an x3 or similar.

    F10 door corrosion

Just had a call from Bowkers this morning and BMW have agreed to paint all four doors, I have to say I am impressed with the service because whilst I wouoldnt expect corrosion on a 7yr old premium car I did expect some resistance due to the car not having full BMW service history. Anyway its booked in for Monday and I'll let you know how I get on.

    F10 door corrosion

When I was probing regarding the mid panel bubbles the inspector said if the claim was accepted the full doors would be painted so I may not get to the bottom of it. I will update when I know more, be gutted if they knock the claim back as it was a keeper.

    F10 door corrosion

My 2013 F11 has corrosion on all 4 doors on the top leading edge but also some mid panel on the rear doors that may or may not be stone chip perforations. Was inspected at Bowkers preston last Friday, just waiting on BMW now.

2013 F11 Pro Media scratched screen

Thanks Dennis Looks like a DIY polish is the best/cheapest solution. I'll postback when I get round to doing it.
  6. Under certain lighting conditions my new to me 2013 idrive widescreen looks a right mess with lots of what look like scratches caused by previous owners. I have searched these forums but cant find anything on the issue, a general web search and there are mentions of how easily the anti glare coating is scratched. That being the case there must be plenty others out there with the same issue, I'm just looking at what I can do to fix it as my OCD gets the better of me. Anyone else have the same problem? Thanks
