    Sills and Starter Motors

Members 0 7 posts Garage:Alpina B10 Allrad Report post Posted 10 hours ago B10 Restoration Project This is my first attempt at sill repair, n/s rear section is not good but rest of sills and jacking points seem OK. Have read a number of articles on the forum and there is mention of using oem parts in preference, can anyone tell me if part no 41008181707 is the correct one to use assuming it's still available. With regards to starter motor, looks like a minefield out there, my starter motor has a mounting bracket at the rear but photo's of starter motors on most sites don't appear to show the appropriate threaded sections on which to attach the mounting bracket. Also, many photo's show three rather than four connectors on the solenoid body is that because the photo's are generic and if so, how do you know what you're ordering. Any bone fide supplier recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks once again for your input and I will start a thread as advised. You must have an amazing memory to remember the car featured in Total BMW back in 2001 and that's me sitting behind the wheel. Both the car and I have aged since then and both of us have bits that need replacing.

Thanks to greenelekta, will get on the register, and to Loadmaster, I will start a thread in the projects section and Sharkfan, you were right, only two rhd RHD B10 Allrad saloons were prepared by Sytner in Nottingham, I've got one but don't know whereabouts of the other.

Thanks very much for your help but my vehicle is RHD. Looks like I'm going to have to fabricate a part from the bits I have salvaged.

Hello I'm new so just finding my way around the site. Have just started restoration of my 1994 Alpina B10 Allrad but first job was to unsieze the cable connecting the auto gear shift to the gearbox. Cable was completely corroded and needs replacing but cannot find anyone who has a replacement part. Can anyone help? BMW part no. 25161218799.
