    Leather seat repair

Hi all, 2016 F07 I have a small scratch on the front passenger leather seat and was quoted £130 to come out and repair professionally from a mobile company. Does this seem reasonable? Thank for any replies received.

    Day time running light flicker

Hi all, Opps, yes you are right it was a cctv refresh issue. I went out to the car this morning to get something from the car and front day lights were absolutely fine but when looking at the cctv playback they were jumping around all over the place. But strange this only happens some of the time... Maybe something to do with light levels!

    Day time running light flicker

Hi, Just went and started the car no flickering, then went to check cctv and no flickering on that either... Strange, but will keep an eye on it. If worse case scenario and day lights are flickering what are we looking at! Cheers

    Day time running light flicker

Yes I thought of that too, so went out and started the car and all fine and then replayed back on cctc and all fine on that too with no refresh issues. I will try again tomorrow morning just incase if effected by the cold as very frosty this morning.
  7. Hi all, 2016 535 GT Just noticed from cctv footage that when I started the car this morning that the near side day time running lights was flickering. Do not know if the offside was doing it as well. I have checked since seeing the CCTV that all is OK but will check again in the morning. Any ideas Cheers video%3A17179

    Condensation inside Headlights

Yes agreed, car was left again for a week with clear headlights, so just been driving in the dark for 20mins and noticed all steamed up again... This cant be right so took the two caps off and went out again for another 10mins and now all clear. This looks to be a breathing or ventilation problem, so I will device a method to cover the holes with something that keeps out dust etc but with something that will keep it ventilated.... Better then current method.

    Condensation inside Headlights

After 15 minutes just went out and noticed that they are steaming up again... Now wondering if I should leave the caps off for a while to ventilate!

    Condensation inside Headlights

Yes just come back from opening the caps and giving both pairs the hairdryer treatment that dispensed the inside mist straight away.

    Condensation inside Headlights

Hi all, Car has been sitting on the driveway for a week and the headlights were fine no sign of misting inside... Now have taken the car for a long drive approx 150 miles and now both headlights are partially misted up inside again. Just wondering if there is or should be a breather pipe somewhere to check!

    Condensation inside Headlights

It is still worrying that the headlight condensation will get worse over time. There are plenty of YOUtube videos on this subject with the hair dryer trick being one of many, as mentioned in this post, to removing the headlight and resealing. I have to say in all my previous cars this has never happened. Heyho.

    Tram lining on 535d GT

Hope they replaced the tyres with one's they recognised!

    Tram lining on 535d GT

Yes absolutely, I will now always continue to check the tyre pressures as I have done in the past... 1st Sunday of the month as with my other car that does not have any monitoring.

    Tram lining on 535d GT

Update; Just checked the tyre pressures. F/N/S 28psi F/O/S 29psi R/N/S 32psi R/O/S 33psi From now on I will not take any notice from the onboard tyre measuring system, as you can see from the picture before I have checked the tyres giving a false reading. I have now inflated to the correct pressures and have reset the tyre measuring system and taking it for a test run and it has transformed the ride, no tram lining. The car was bought from BMW Stratstone in Derby, March this year as an Approved used vehicle which they fitted new tyres and pre MOT before I drove away, so they must be BMW approved. The tyres they fitted are: Pirelli P Zero 245/45/19 Run Flats on the front and the rear's are fitted with Goodyear Excellence 275/40/19 Run Flats. Just had it's 18k 3 year service from Chandlers BMW in Hailsham last week and cannot understand why they didn't check the tyre pressures, unless they relied on the onboard tyre monitor system...Heyho.
