    Over-tightened Wheel Bolts

The Torque Sticks absorb the hammer effect produced by the impact gun by twisting when they reach the rated Torque Value of that Stick. There are various different ratings of Torque Stick. The Torque Sticks can't be used with breaker bars or similar as the breaker bars exert a more constant force unlike an impact gun. I still use a Torque Wrench to check the final torque as the Torque Sticks aren't exact. Here are the impact wrench and sticks I use: https://www.sealey.co.uk/product/5637186417/cordless-impact-wrench-12sq-drive-650nm-18v-4ah-lithium-ion---2-batteries https://www.sealey.co.uk/product/5637174884/torque-stick-set-5pc-12sq-drive

    Over-tightened Wheel Bolts

Hi guys, the other thing you could try is to buy a Torque Stick and take that with you. At least if they insist on using their guns the Torque Stick will limit amount of torque transferred to the bolt. I have one for my Wife's car and use it with my impact wrench and it works really well.
  3. Finally got around to cleaning out the grommet area. More of a build up than I expected for a car that's less than 2 years old and only covered 16k miles. Will probably look to do this once a year. The job went reasonably well albeit a bit fiddly. The hardest part I found was to get the panel back in and lining it up.

    Postcode and aircon question

Just checked that postcode and the full postcode is there. I've just updated mine with 2018-2 maps. It's also the NBT system.

    Brake disc temp

Hi Andrew, Did you use the cruise control at all as I believe this uses the rears to help maintain the speed? Most likely the cooling of the front compared to the back as Mashed Potatoes pointed out. Thanks Paul

    Windscreen Wipers

Hi, I bought my last pair of Bosch blades off Amazon as they were the cheapest by far. I got them for less than £20 where others including Euros were wanting over £30. Thanks Paul

    F10 Grating Noise

Hi Taxboy, The other thing you could look at is the back plate rubbing on the disc. This can sometimes be a result of taking a wheel off and catching the back plate with the wheel which can push it towards the disc. I have seen this before and personally done it when I was struggling to get a wheel off which eventually dropped off catching the back plate. To resolve, I simply pushed the back plate a small amount back in to position to stop the rubbing noise. Thanks Paul
  8. Hi, If a tyre has been driven on while flat the signs are normally on the inside of the tyre. Here is a pic I managed to find as an example, it's even an RFT. Any decent tyre place will be able to determine if the tyre can be repaired and should follow the manufacturer's guidelines. Thanks Paul
