    So, Im in need of the following. Both rear corner metal supports. Both Brackets and nuts that fix the edge to the wheel arch area. Ive emailed Ivo to see if I can get these off him so fingers crossed. I can save the centre piece with blasting and coating along with all the arm brackets. One of the captive nuts in the actual bumper has sheared, whats peoples opinion or experience on bonding new ones in?

    Finally got my other project nearly finished and time to investigate this. First picture is what I'm dealing with, the bracket and bolt have completely corroded and let go. Second picture. Was expecting a bigger battle removing the whole bumper but not so, I suspect that may happen later [emoji85] Third picture, Bodywork is fantasticly clean intact beneath it all, just surface dust which has wiped clean Fourth picture, all isn't well with the bumper bar. It's a new one to source I think, would be a big battle to save this. Fifth picture, all nuts left to soak overnight and I'll tackle that tomorrow. Enough for one evening! Then Im waiting on the other project car to clear my working space before I can dismantle this.....After a year at it I was expecting a small break from fixing/cleaning car stuff. THe BMW has other plans for me!

    Sadly someone has nudged my rear end in a car park, the Bumper on one side has lifted slightly to expose the metal carcass beneath. Whats visible beneath seems a crusty bracket of sorts. Looking through the online manuals and how to's I suspect I might as well overahaul all the brackets and fixings whilst I have the bumper off. Are most parts available still from BMW or are there any aftermarket suppliers? Any tips before I delve into the rear

    Cheers guys, got a mate around with an Impact driver and P3 head...worked a treat! Holders are all out at last! Next question, about to get the holder cleaned and painted, do these final two holders come apart on the high beam lens side? Im just loathe to put too much pressure on older parts. I have all new alignment clips but keen to retain all the rest of the working parts. Is there a nack to doing it? The captive bolt seems to moulded into the square plastic adjuster. It will make life easier for cleaning and painting.
  13. Right guys, am in the process or replacing the plastic clips that the adjustment levelers use. In this process I am removing the whole light pods on both sides to clean and refurbish. I've hit a stumbling block. It looks like no one has been in here before in 32 years! Right now three of the eight screws are moving, for the life of me the others are not budging. For 48hours now i have had them soaking in numerous spray liquids such as WD40, Halfords Shock remover and a lovely Polish equivalent and still no joy, Ive broken one large screwdriver already! My palms are starting to blister from pressure on the screw driver and still no joy. Any other tips? If i do go at them with an extractor bit the holder clips are coming up on realoem as NLA...whats my options? Has anyone used something off the shelf or similar to replace? Front view From the rear, these retaining clips are NLA according to RealOem Thanks guys in advance...

    E28 Owner

    1985 E28 M535i in Zinnerbot Red, manual, 90k miles, FSH, Black leather interior. Its tidy and clean enough, small spot of rust on front wing which is getting sorted and then off for a two day detail and paint correction. Original wheels are in the shed, sitting on some Style 5's at moment. Very happy with it, rare enough over this side of the pond. Its all E30's here! A change of direction motoring wise for me, always had Mitsubishi's and many Evo's. Its a nice change from turbo lag to have a usable power band!
