  1. Wheels were purchased approximately 2 years ago and I had them refurbished by Wheelmaniacs in the West Mids who always finish to a very high standard. They have been ceramic coated twice since and despite a couple of kerb marks, still look great. Wheels come with Pirelli P zero tyres all round. Plenty of tread on the front tyres, rears are quite close to wear indicators but still perfectly legal. Also have a 5th front tyre (P zero) which I'll include with the wheels. Each wheel has a few tiny marks but nothing that detracts from the overall condition. Have taken close ups of all the marks. Genuine reason for sale - car was written off - gutted. Fortunately it had my winter MV2s on at the time. Looking for £750 for the set (plus additional tyre). Wheels based in Sutton Coldfield West Mids. Can arrange for a courier at purchasers cost.

What did you do to your E60/61 today?

Replaced rear diffuser with OEM tow bar unit sprayed gloss black and had front and rear lights (legally) tinted to take edge off the brightness and match the grey black theme going on. Had no intention to go down this route but have slowly tinkered over last 3 years and am pleased with result...

  6. So been looking online and struggling to find solution. A couple of weeks ago I was getting a message on the dash saying that the battery was low in the comfort access. All working fine. I replaced the battery with the same duracell one. CA continued to keep working, and low battery warning had gone. About 2 weeks later however, the car no longer opens with the key in my pocket, nor can I lock by touching the handles. When in the car, it tells me key isn't detected, so I have to put the key in the ignition. A hardship I know! I could live with it, would it not be for the fact that to lock and open the car now, I need to go right up close to the car, seems to be better towards the back of the car, and press either the lock or unlock button about ten times before it works. Even typing this, I think it sounds like it might be the antenna (think I read it's called diversity antenna) which may have given up. Just seems an odd coincidence that I recently changed the battery, although it was working fine for a week or so before it's packed in. Anything else I should check before I get the car looked at/checked in by someone who knows that they're doing!? Cheers
  7. So I’ve bought the replacement rear boot glass switch (hoping it is the problem) but the only way I can replace the switch, I think, is with the glass open, which is a bit of a catch 22... Does anyone know whether it’s possible to pop the glass latch at all remotely? I read somewhere about removing boot lining, but struggled to get very far, plus it felt like I was damaging some of the trim. Really want the glass working again, as such a useful feature, plus I don’t like over using the electric boot! Thanks in advance…

How easy was it to replace the tailgate glass switch? Easy DIY fix? Mine has stopped working so need to do the same!

Started the 'black edition' modifications.... Step 1) mirrors wrapped gloss black in situ Step 2) rear OEM diffuser wrapped ready for fitting Step 3) booked spiders in for ferric grey refurb Step 4) ordered OEM gloss black kidneys Pic of the mirrors. Hope it looks ok when done. At least having things wrapped means it can be reversed...

What did you do to your E60/61 today?

Would these still throw up the warning I'm getting? Please do PM me the parts needed for the E90 equivalent as may change if the code starts to annoy me too much. Mine look spot on - really pleased, just the warning message that's a little annoying on start up and engine turn off but I'll probably live with. Given the bulbs were Bosch I'm expecting them to last forever, just wish didn't have the error messages...

Fitted LED number plate lights. Proper Bosch ones - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bosch-239-C5W-LED-Car-Light-Bulbs-Pair-Cool-White-6000K-Retrofit-Replacement/263540446471?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Now getting error message though on the DIS. Is this due to the reduced voltage? I don't want to swap back as the light is spot on - just like newer OEM bulbs but the error message every time I start the car will get annoying...
