Thought it would've failed on the front thrust arms as I'm getting a bit of wheel wobble and theres a bit of play in them. So just going to change them anyway. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Right quick update. Stuck my mates maf on my car and it drove great no jolts hesitation perfect tick over. Put mine in his car and his went ok just quite a strong smell of fuel on tick over but no jolts or missing. So I have ordered a salvage part from a reputable bmw breakers. As funds not great at this time of year.and I will hope and pray it solves the problem. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Ok cheers for the reply mate. Just went out with maf unplugged and she drove how she should. Stopped and plugged it bsck in. Soon as I plulled away it started again. Unplugged again goes great. Take it new maf required. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Only thing that went wrong during all of this was the plastic bit inside the maf that looks like a target or cross hairs broke off while refitting the boot after I taped it up. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Right here's the story from the start. Got a eml up at weekend fuel trim malfunction. Checked intake top one badly perished. Stuck some tape round it to keep me going. Till I got a new one. Srtated it up wasn't happy burning smell from exhaust. Eventually it cleared and also I cleared the codes. Took it out and felt it hesitate missfire. Like no fuel. Changed intake boot checked for more leaks with carb cleaner also took plugs out and cleaned them (very badly sooted up) test drove last night and today. First drive not good still doing the same. Second drive from cold perfect nothing at all. This morning back to the same cold or hot. Jumping about but no codes. I know it a mine field. But any help would be appreciated. Its really dping my head in now. Its went for months with this perished boot. With no problems. Ps. Mpg is way down. Also ticks over great hot or cold. Just get a slight dip now and again. Please help. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Plugs cleaned. They were really sooted up. Obviously with it overfuelling. Took it for another drive longer this time. Only had a couple of hiccups to start then not to bad. Fuel filter next. Then just head down the list till she's back to full fitness. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
