    F11 Reliability

Cheers Matthew. That’s only 12 mpg less than i’m Getting on my ‘2013 2L Mondeo Titanium X. I think with the kit it has the 2L engine struggles to pull it around!!

    F11 Reliability

Hi All, Looking to get back into BWM ownership with a 60/61 plate 530 F11. Are there any reliability issues to worry about. My 05 525 E61 was always needing new parking sensors and the aerial unit in the tailgate failed 3 times due to water ingress. There were also horror stories about blocked DPFs and EGRs although I never suffered that due to doing a lot of motorway miles. Any advice welcome. Thanks

    PDC module replacement

All, Bit of an update on this one. If you buy a second hand module apparently it doesn't need coding as it's already been 'switched on'. A brand new one does need coding. Had a guy do mine today and the system is now up and running but reporting two front outer sensors out. The I-drive map is working fine and get nice warnings from the other six sensors so two front ones ordered of the bay. More to follow.
  5. I've PXd the car (2005 E61 525d) and am due to collect the other in a day or two. When in reverse the IDrive is showing the view of the car with the detection cones blank and not showing any colour and it's not beeping. It's in the garage at the moment and they say there are no fault codes being thrown up. While its been with them it's had it's had a new PDC module, one rear, and one front sensor fitted. Anyone got any ideas?????? Thanks John.

    PDC module replacement

Thanks Medved77 I've read that before and found the issue with the next in line sensor from the one reporting the fault being the actual knackered one very interesting. To cover all possibilities I've now ordered an additional rear sensor and OEM rear wiring loom. Hoping to get a look at it later. More news as is happens!!!

    PDC module replacement

Ok thanks guys. Just changed the control module for a new OEM one (Ouch££££) but still getting the same error. I'm wondering if I've bought a duff replacement sensor?

    PDC module replacement

Guys, Is it right that a new PDC module needs to be coded to the car? My Haynes manual seems to think so. Thanks John.

    E60 msport steering wheel

Ah from the picture it looks like they only do the outside leather part of the wheel. I was looking for the spokes to be done as well as the matt coating has worn off mine similar to the picture.

Sorry but another PDC problem thread

Guys thanks for the help. Some investigating to be done at the weekend methinks. Thanks john.
  15. Hi All, 2005 E61 525d. PDCs (front and rear) went down the other day with the dreaded 'boing' from the dash when I put it into reverse. First diagnostic said read rear left (nearside) outer was down but rest were working ok as they were giving detection distances. So changed said sensor and now getting 9E3B error saying no communication with sensor unit. There has been another couple of threads on here about this but they didn't reach any conclusion other than Jake27210 had the same code, changed the control unit, and still had the same problem. Never heard if it got solved. Any help much appreciated but I know all about the WD40 clean and the listening to them click etc. Boot is nice and dry (no sunroof!) Thanks John.
