    Vertical aim control

    Yes....I had no halo rings near side. Replaced the TMS....a couple of days later error message on dash...no headlight aim control. Sent from my CPH2025 using Tapatalk

    No verticle aim on both sides. Also the rotary wheel to the left of the dimmer switch... doesn't do anything when operated. Over the weekend I will switch out/over the TMS modules to see if they make a difference. Sent from my CPH2025 using Tapatalk

    Vertical aim control

    Hi I have a 2012 MSport F10 with Halogen lights and the vertical headlight aim control motor appears to have failed. This is the bit where you turn the lights on and the beams go up and then settle into their correct positions. I also have the error message about the side lights/and Vertical Headlight aim on the dash on start-up, plus yellow triangle. I've recently changed the TMS module (left side) due to the halo rings (DRL) not working. All headlights and DRLs are now working. If it is the motor, is it an easy fix.....if it is....where is the motor located etc......plus is it plug and play Regards to everyone Sent from my CPH2025 using Tapatalk

  5. I also have a similar problem the only difference is that the outer ring on the near side of my F10 2012 is out. The other is fine...I'm not sure if the TSM has gone. I would have thought the TSM controlled both rings etc. I'm not sure if it's fuse related. I do have an error message on the dash the good old light bulb. Any ideas someone. Thanks in advance.     Buying advice for F11

    Hi Great choice moving up to an F11. Firstly I would consider where you want your low mileage to start from, and how many miles you intend to do per year. Then you will have an idea of how long you want to keep your car for.     Possible EGR issue?

    Thanks for the link@boba. Having had the EGR replaced due to recall...I can confirm that the topping up of oil was because the head gasket was/is leaking. So I intend to go see BMW Cooper's Colchester. Anyone with any thoughts idea that when they fitted the EGR they may have caused the leaking gasket. Yes I know I might be pulling at straws...but my car was in excellent condition and running sweetly due to proper maintenance...any suggestions please. Sent from my CPH2025 using Tapatalk

    Possible EGR issue?

    Hi everyone hope you are all well. I have a 2012 F10 M Sport. Yesterday (30/7/20) I had a new EGR fitted as a result of a recall. The work was completed by my nearest BMW garage in Colchester. Picked up the car all good. The following morning whilst driving to work ...an error message popped up telling me that I needed to top up my engine oil because it was low. Which was a little strange when I've recently changed (6 weeks ago) all the major filters plus new oils etc. I subsequently contacted the garage and explained the situation... They said that the EGR fitted and then me topping up with oil are not related. Yes I know it could be a total coincidence. Just wanted to find out if anyone has had an issue with losing oil after having an EGR refit etc Sent from my CPH2025 using Tapatalk

    Timing Chain is it time for the change.

    Thanks guys for all your feed back. Much appreciated. Mine is a 525d with Sports pack. At the moment it's running really well with a full service history.   11. Hi everyone I have F10 on a 12 plate with 114,000 on the clock. Should I now be considering replacing the current timing chain. At the moment everything is running how it should be.     CPA tuning boxes

    I don't know the full ins and outs. With this particular tuning box, you can change your vehicle and take it with you. It works on the same principle as chip tuning your car. Just have Google search on tuning boxes etc and chip tuning. In my experience 5hey work. It's a question of cost and what exactly that you want.     CPA tuning boxes

    Hi I've never used CPA...however if your not totally set on CPA...you can try a TDi tuning box. Which now has Bluetooth. You can control the tuning box from inside the car via your smartphone. I have one of these attached to my 525d M Sport with no problems. Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk

    Newbie on the Block!

    Hi Folks my name is Elvis...picked up my old/new E39 530d (2) yesterday....so before I post any pics...got get it all shiny inside and out. (Quick question) the cd changer what music can it play, I have loads of music (MP3) which I want to burn to CD's or have I got to convert the files. Speak to you guys soon
