  1. Billy bargain that. Wheels looked like genuine ACS which would have been worth the car price alone. C.
  2. Nothing new with Nick Johnson Cars. Every car he has for sale is overpriced... They have a 33k mile e36 M3 Saloon up at £32k and an SMG e46 M3 with 77k miles up at £27k! C.

    540i Touring. Ideally Se auto

Good question. It's in the bodyshop having a few niggly bits sorted plus new discs & pads all round, service, new timing chain tensioner etc. My intention was to run it for the remainder of the summer and store over winter, however everything is for sale at the right price... Its a 2003 Sport model with a good spec. Comfort Seats, working air-con, Glass Sunroof, Nav, Electric Tailgate etc. It owes me about £7k (purchase & current spend). C.

    540i Touring. Ideally Se auto

Thanks and no probs. I couldn't let mine go for that unfortunately. Good luck with your search. I'm sure there are a couple on eBay currently which may fit the bill. C.

Budget, mileage shelf, although maintenance record is probably just as important...? C.
  13. That's a nice looking wagon and looks in fine fettle. Undecided on rims... Is it my eyes or are the front bumper lower corners missing? C.
  14. Finished at £17k +6% buyers fee (£18020). C.

    E39 Touring catch up

Now for sale: Used BMW 5 SERIES (E39) 530I SPORT TOURING 2001 for sale | PistonHeads UK GLWS. A well sorted car. C.
  17. I sometimes forget I have it... however body done, engine in and running with just some cable tidying and exhaust to fabricate. Plan is to get it back in the autumn for interior fit and replace or renew trims as required. C.
  18. As a sum of parts it's probably about right at the £15k bid as of today. Looks great from a distance, however a fair bit of tidying required on the body which could soon mount up. Nice little project never the less. C.

Congrats. Is it Manual or Auto and what rims is it running, they look like Hartge's...? C.

    E39 M5 on Collecting Cars.

It's Caramel (e39 M5 Specific) which is very different, a much richer colour and works well with the Black Dash, Door Cards etc. Admittedly not most peoples first choice on a lighter coloured car, however it certainly makes it stand out from the standard fayre seen on Silverstone cars. All IMO of course. C.

    E39 M5 on Collecting Cars.

Highly unusual seeing Caramel Heritage Leather against Silverstone... doesn't look too bad IMO. Overall it looks a nice car, low miles but a shame they never facelifted the rear lights as they did with the fronts. C.

    I’m back in a 5!

Great purchase and loving that mocha interior. I have Comfort Seats too with added cool ventilation and oscillating (massage) function. They're a vast improvement over standard Sports Seats. C.

F11 Again or move on to a G31?

I was in this same position just over a year ago and decided on a late F11 after driving both the petrol F11 535i and the petrol G31 540i. The later car did feel more modern and slightly lighter on its feet, however I hated the dash mounted tablet infotainment, 20" wheels and preferred the more BMW'esque look of the earlier car. A well optioned 6 Cylinder F11 is hard to beat as an allrounder. C.
