    Educate me!

Agree it's pricey but it is an F11, much better looking than the G31 IMO. I tried a G31 540i before buying my latest F11 535i and preferred the earlier car in almost all departments. Don't like the comedy tablet dash, seats, 20" Rims and exterior styling on BMW's latest 5. F11 a much better looking car. C.

    Educate me!

VDC is a game changer IMO. My previous F11 was without and my current F11 has it and the difference is night and day. Does it need to be a 535i as this 520i Petrol has an awesome options list inc. extended leather to dash etc.: Used 2015 Silver BMW 5 Series F10 [Post-10] for sale | PistonHeads UK C.

    BMW Warranty Latest Costs

Mine lapsed on the 2nd Dec and they called me this morning. Rates are the same as quoted above and they are happy to sort on the phone when ready... no inspection required. C.

    520i M50tu to 525i M50tu

Bear in mind that the 2.5litre has about 30% more power & torque over the 2.0litre, I'd take a good look at the brakes. The 2.5litre car had bigger Discs & Calipers for that very reason. C.

    F10 535i

Nice looking 535i with some nice options. The ceramic finish on the controls is a lovely touch too and very rare. C.

What's a set of E39 19" alpinas worth these days

Forget eBay prices, most of the plonkers on there seem to think anything with Alpina stamped on it has a higher value than Gold! e39 19's in very good or refurbished condition with caps & locks should be worth £1k to £1.5k and obviously a little more with tyres based on condition & make/brand. A new set of locks from Alpina will be approx. £130 to £150... C.

    Looking to buy F10 Petrol

I don't think it's bad money for a 2015 car with low miles... although lacking on options! Here's a later 2016 car with a few more options and lower miles: https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/10982766?cId=11037511&cId=10982766&cId=10912760&cId=10970133&cId=11045030&cId=10999683&cId=11022139&cId=11022151&cId=11022152&cId=10926578&cId=10926666&cId=10926667&cId=10927227&cId=10927719&cId=10927732&cId=11042524&cId=10957788&cId=10530906&cId=10927626&cId=10927783 C.

    Looking to buy F10 Petrol

A petrol f10/f11 is all about refinement IMO. My last Derv BMW was an lci e60 530d and whilst it was a great mile muncher with plenty of torque, the 535i Petrol i'm now running is a whole lot more refined, quicker and the later auto boxes are now so good. Options are personal taste, however from my experience, VDC or Adaptive Suspension is a game changer and drive so much better than a car without. HUD is a nice feature and pro (widescreen) nav is a great option too. Anything else the first owner optioned is just a bonus... C.

If the F10 was an AGM Battery then that is a reasonable price AFAIK. Just checked eurocarparts for a price on mine and with discount it comes in at £278.99! C.

Just a feeler: F11 535i sport touring - ideally manual!!

New listing and looks a great spec late car. Question mark over a repair but could be a good bargaining tool...: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-535i-Touring-M-Sport-Fully-Loaded-HUD-Pan-roof-EDC/293828386052?hash=item4469895d04:g:lY0AAOSwqTxfeIUu C.
  12. Bodywork & repaint alone if done correctly would cost significantly more than £5k... C.

Wheels are scabby and the discs look shot! Add in doom blue paint and no interior pics and you'd be mistaken for the Old Colonel is maybe past his best... C.

Black & Cream is a stunning combo on a Black car: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202010084748007?make=BMW&advertising-location=at_cars&price-from=10000&model=5 SERIES&body-type=Estate&radius=1500&include-delivery-option=on&fuel-type=Petrol&sort=relevance&postcode=ts78jy&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=Used&price-to=27500&page=2 Price is a little heavy for a pre-facelift car IMO, however it does tick a lot of boxes for someone looking for a Petrol 535i Touring... Two F11 535i Sports on both Ebay & Autotrader, one 2012 and one 2016. 2 or 3 for sale at any one time is a rarity so you're spoilt for choice... C.

Just a feeler: F11 535i sport touring - ideally manual!!

F11 535i Petrol even in Auto is a hard thing to find, however the box is an absolute peach and if you find the Sports Auto Box option ticked then at least you can play with the manual function & flappy paddles. Took me a good while to find a car but worth the wait. Here's a fine looking car with a few nice options: https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/10999683?cId=10954032&cId=10982766&cId=10912760&cId=10970133&cId=10999683&cId=10926578&cId=10926666&cId=10926667&cId=10927227&cId=10927719&cId=10927732&cId=10838135&cId=11022139&cId=11022151&cId=11022152&cId=10927513&cId=10927626&cId=10927783&cId=10927822&cId=10957788 C.

    BMW AUC pricing changes

Not your usual run of the mill f10, hence the Dealer hedging their bets and realising that they probably advertised too cheap. Factor in 535i in Petrol guise with very low miles, Comfort Seats, Pro Nav, 19's, VDC, Sports Auto Box and a great colour combination and you'll wait an awful long time before another similar specified car like this comes along IMO. 535's in Petrol are rare anyway... with a good option list in a nice colour combo, even more so. Nice surprise

Congrats and win win. My 66 Plate car is going in for its free major service on the 23rd too, nice to take advantage of the first owners generosity before the big bills start rolling in... C.
  22. Ed replied advising that they he was waiting for info from the seller and would advise upon receipt. BIMTA Cert was added to the auction pics and heard nothing since. C.
  23. I hope it all checks out as I was genuinely interested until hearing as previously mentioned. C.
  24. From a very trusted source, yes. I have exchanged emails with Edward Lovett (Founder of Collecting Cars) and he has the information I received. He is looking into the matter. C.
