Well that sounds like a plan! A good one at that! Hopefully it will be an open workshop for those that want to jump in on the action!..with reasonably capable hands.

I assume you mean August Ja! Bit late otherwise. Definately up for some spanner wrangling! That is of course if Mr splondike agrees to this or is that why there was a mention of broken fingers?

Agreed! Excellent day and met some new faces. Quality isn't great but the effect is good! The red is nice

    OMFG..

That twin air filter setup must add at least 50bhp!! Not to mention the aerodynamicly enhanced front bumper....... Why don't BMW have an assassination department for people that do things like is? There is enough photo evidence...I'm sure it would hold up in court!?

    Auto Finesse

Iv been looking at getting a bottle of revive, supposedly it's one of the best trim dressings for the price. (detailing world)

    Scratch Removal

Rotary is definitely the way to go....takes much less effort to achieve better results. Just purchased one and had a go on the bonnet of my e39...not quite there yet but it was my first go. Definitely a lot shinier. Chris

Bought my first clay bar today........

Got to agree with you on the addictive bit....I've spent a small fortune....don't tell her indoors Don't get rid of the rotary . They aren't as scary as everyone makes out and on BMW paint they are so much better. Iv recently purchased one and attacked my e39 at the weekend. Not 100% happy with it but it is looking better already, only managed the bonnet. A bit of practise is all that's needed. Chris

Claying is easy, don't panic Give the car a good wash before you start, preferably using the two bucket method. Make sure you keep the clay well lubed up and keep folding and remoulding it to prevent swirls/marring. Then give the car another wash, rinse and thoroughly dry. (get yourself a good drying towel) Then it is up to you whether you want to polish (depending on condition of paint) Then finish up with a good wax. (Meguiars stuff is pretty good and easily available from halfrauds.) I would recommend you also have a browse over at detailing world. Lots of very good info and tips. Chris

    Caught speeding

What a bummer! I managed to collect 6 points within 4months after 4 years clean... One lot I got in the work van...really hacked off! I was panicing about insurance but it didn't really make much difference! Like the others have said...sh*t happens
  19. As above has any one installed one of these? http://www.blaupunktdirect.co.uk/incar-amplifiers/tha-475-pnp-plug-and-play-amplifier.html Seriously considering getting one to try and improve my e39 stereo.

Any one got/ used one of these? PnP Amp

Well the specs seem pretty good. Plenty of power for some after market door and shelf speakers. Takes the hassle of running new wiring out of the equation.

Looks really menacing in the rear view. Some very good pictures there. Even my Sienna 30d made an appearance Chris
