    Stunning e34 535i sport

Lovely car but can’t figure out whether it is genius or madness to set your eBay auction to end mid-afternoon on Boxing Day...
  2. Can't be many at that mileage still about - love slate green too! Not sure doing only 1k miles a year since 2006 is necessarily a good thing mind... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-530-3-0i-auto-2001-i-SE-Touring-COLLECTORS-EXAMPLE-1-OWNER-35000-MILES-ONLY/293384140721?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Df686c89b465a47e2a379224b35d3b781%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D7%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D184044354469%26itm%3D293384140721%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A38eb4ba9-22b9-11ea-975d-74dbd180b018%7Cparentrq%3A208a951216f0ac3cd3c3ff7fffaa6d23%7Ciid%3A1
  3. I have an LCI 530i SE with electric seats - no lumbar, no heating. I don't find the seats very supportive and would like to fit either SE or sports seats with lumbar or comfort seats (if I can find a set). But just wondering if they would be plug and play without any new wiring harnesses etc. - does anyone know? Also, if the new seats were heated, is it much of a job to retrofit the controls? Thanks for any advice!

    530d touring in beige!!

That is a lot of beige! Quite like the exterior colour though and what’s not to like at that price!
  5. Worst photos in the world and looks like it would need a tidy up but interesting spec / colour combo, FBMWSH and reasonable price? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201906108864924 The non- working sunroof / potential leaks might put me off though...
  6. I know there are always people on the look out for these - nice example but that price is getting into F11 territory: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201905238273088
  7. '09 E61 525i manual with later style pro-nav at a good price, decent mileage, history... https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201902014521509
  8. OP - Looks like a great example! I've had my '57 LCI E61 530i SE with a manual 'box since October - got to say I'm very happy with it too! Bought it privately from its original elderly owner on 96k. He had it serviced annually at the same BMW specialist (he was 80 miles from the nearest BMW dealer!). Just had engine, gearbox and diff oil changed at a local specialist and they gave it a clean bill of health. It's had some injector work under warranty in the past and so far the N53 has been good as gold. It's a great load lugger with enough performance to be fun when conditions allow. And yet it's not worth much now so I don't worry too much about where I park it or something going wrong.
  9. Just spray it into the seal? No toothbrush to work it in?
  10. Thanks all, going to give it a go with a toothbrush if I can get in behind the curve of the perspex. An annoying design flaw for sure.
  11. Got this green stuff around the seals of my rear light clusters on my E61. Anyone had the same and had any success with cleaning it?

    Discs / pads / sensors - cost?

Yes can confirm it has the larger discs on it currently :(

    Discs / pads / sensors - cost?

It’s a 2007 LCI SE Touring. Realoem is showing the larger discs. Have to say I thought it was only the V8s that had the larger discs... Happy to be told different! (could always measure what is on there currently - will do when I get home)

    Discs / pads / sensors - cost?

Thanks for this. Only thing I have noticed is that it seems that the 530i should have 348/345mm diameter discs (front/rear). The Brembo's on this link (and on Amazon) are showing only 324/320mm (even though they still come up once filtered with my reg plate). Is it any issue to go with the smaller discs? Not looking to penny pinch, especially on brakes on a family car, but the cost difference seems pretty big...

    Discs / pads / sensors - cost?

Thanks - will look up the part numbers and have a look around. Has anyone found a particular brand better at resisting rust? I hate seeing those rusty hubs through the wheel spokes though seems to be present on even the newest BMWs!
