BMW warranty cheaper if AUC car?

Yes it does cost more. In my case the difference was £ 184/pa more if monthly payment. So I paid full amount £638. IMO

    Warranty question

Hi. The AUC free warranty from dealer is due to the end in November. I've got an offer to purchase: Comprehensive with £100 excess for £78 p/month, Named Component with the same excess for £68 p/m. What is a different between these two and what would you recommend? Any comments much appreciated. IMO

There is no fault on idrive. Do you think it's been saved on computer anyway and they will be able to see what happened? And yes, the car is under warranty. Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

Yesterday, just collected my car from airport car parking after two weeks of holiday. Started the engine, let him work for couple of minutes and drived off. Then suddenly an error came up on the dashboard and check engine light. Then when I stopped there was a significant judder on idle. I switched off the engine and did start. All symptoms are gone and got back home with no further issues. Just wondering what was the problem and if I should visit BMW garage. Any ideas? Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

    RFT tyres

That is quite interesting. UK law allows to have even 4 different tyres with different treads as long as radial and depth of the tread is legal. How this would correspond with having ROF on one axle and non ROF on second? Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

    Front tyre wear

I've had two e60 before and both had ROF and the same issue. My current f10 has 31 k on the clock, oryginal ROF on the front and the same problem. Maybe a little bit less asymmetric wear but tyres became much more noisy. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

    518d F11

I was always under the impression of people who buy chippest and poorest version and stress their disappointment. 518d are mainly designed as a fleet cars with low spec and costs of maintenance. As a private user I would never go for 518d unless it was a "working horse" . Also it is unfair to compare with high spec Mondeo. Anyway it would be good to see and compare both cars after 5 years and 130 k miles. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

    Staggered or straight set up

You can. However. This is RWD so you need a better grip of rear tyres . There will be higher torque due to bigger wheels (19 instead of 17) so you may have an issue with start. Traction control computer will be turning down power and torque transmission to the rear axle to avoid skidding. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

So what does your F10 like to eat...

Hi Where did you get the filter from? I guess we've got the same type of engines N53. I'm gettting 30k miles shortly so it may be worth to change the air filter.
