Heyy Dan, does the car ride/handle/feel different with all the new parts now? I've never refreshed the whole of a car's underpinnings and wondered whether because it's been replaced, you expect it to do so - AKA the Placebo effect.
-
Am I missing something here? Why not sell the car locally in France? (I probably have missed something... )

It's still with me for the time being Dennis. No real urgency to sell until I find a 340 Tourer which fits the bill, but they are quite rare.

That's a really well balanced approach Mike to the whole debate I think. With mine though, it's a case of low miles (just turned 42,000) but approaching 20 years old. Again, the 'box appears to be without any issues and operates as it should.

Welcome along - looks promising! You could always start a threat in the Projects and Restorations section here, even just to keep a track of progress for yourself.

I saw that a week or so ago and thought the same.

Yep, but it's an operational runway so I guess it was done on "quiet days".
-
No, just the perimeter road - but I was told that since "proper" TG finished it's not in the complete form that it used to be. Some parts are recognisable though and the ex BA 747 is still there, along with the ex East African Airways/RAF VC10.

My Jap hasn't fallen apart - yet -
Yeah, a great day out and interesting to see how all this stuff is done. Also fascinating to see behind the scenes at Dunsfold. The other cars were Bentley S2, Daimler (don't know exact model), Merc 450 SEL and a Rover.

Took mine to Dunsfold for a magazine shoot, the theme being V8 saloons from the 60s to the 90s.
