    530d GT, buying advice.

I just got my 530d SE GT, 2010. I got it 3 weeks ago and I love it. I'm getting 39mpg on my 20 mile commute to work. 70% motorway, remainder b road. I get about 33 about town, I usually have it in sport around town as I prefer the steering being more responsive. I've been looking for faults for 3 weeks, but can't find any at all. 86k on the clock with full service history. I still don't really like the wide-screen satnav, but I've never liked bmw satnav. The panoramic roof can be an issue, mine was repaired last year before I had it, £570.

    Hello, again

Hello everyone, I've been a member(Platinum) for years, but I went away from BMW for a few years. Anyway, I'm back, with a 530d GT SE (2010 - 86,000). I'm absolutely loving it. I know the looks are a bit marmite, but I personally love the way it looks and any concerns are overshadowed by the massive, limo-like interior.

Career advice, get an e-mail address

No, I didn't, I looked at it out of context, didn't see the topic heading. I'm an eejit. Haha, embarrassing, I guess I don't get the office boy job? There's a lesson here, but I'm too dumb to know what it is

Career advice, get an e-mail address

Complete tosh. A made up story to try a pretend that email isn't essential. An email address isn't life changing, but it does make things simpler obviously. Get a fookin email you fake, stubborn tomatoe hawker

    Whisky drinkers

I'm doing fine mate, not had a BMW since my 645 2 years ago, got a Focus ST3 (56), must be an age thing. Desperately want back in a Beemer. E91 or maybe another 6 series, would still love an M5, but still can't afford one. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Whisky drinkers

Only started enjoying Scotch recently, even though I work for the world's largest whisky producer. I can't take any of the peaty malts, I like Cardhu 12yo, JW Platinum 18yo is a good blended, Dalwhinnie is an easy drink

    Nelson Mandela RIP

I would also agree that he was indeed a Great man, someone to look up to, I wish some of his supporters had his grace in forgiving past atrocities that weren't perpetrated on them. Like most great teachers we admire, we have a hard time following their teachings Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

    Nelson Mandela RIP

I'm 47 and in agreement with you, for the most part. All I'm trying g to say is let's remember the whole of the story of Mandela, not just what we're fed by the media. One of my heroes is Churchill, but I still know that he was responsible for some atrocities during WWII. We can honour a man more by accepting his failings as well as his greatness. Nelson Mandela RIP

Trisman , what do being an adult in th 80s and reading papers have to do with the history of the ANC and Mandela, the story didn't start there, although some think it did, it started long before. I agree that apartheid was completely wrong, 100%, but that doesn't negate what the freedom fighters did, it doesn't make Mandela a saint, the media are already speculating whether he should be declared a saint, ignorant flecks. Mandela was ultimately a good guy, but that was a journey he went on Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

    Nelson Mandela RIP

What he did may be what was required to change things in SA , but we can't then make him a saint, he and his ANC did what they thought was necessary, including getting tuition from the IRA in the 70s in Angola on bomb making. All well and good, as they and a lot of world wide sympathisers thought that the end justified the means. A committed man, with real inner strength, mobilised a nation, even though he was a poor orator, had a dream for SA, still to be realised, let's pay real tribute to the man by remembering his whole life, not just the fluff Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

    Back in a BMW

Although the Citroen diesel does the workhorse job, I've missed being in a BMW. So as i promised myself when I got rid of the 645, I've got myself a nice Z4, very pleased with myself.
