The Porsche Cayman S is epic. I have had it 2 months, retrofitted cruise control, done 3,500miles, been to Cornwall, South and North Wales, won my class at 2 autosolos and been through a set of tyres, but absolutely loving every minute of it

I will have a look at the earlier pics and see where they are, i don't remember moving them. Yes i still have the Smart, its done 36,000miles now and its mine instead of the wifes, she needed a bigger car so i bought a Jazz but cant really bring myself to sell the Smart as its soo much fun. Some pics of it here https://flic.kr/s/aHskvyfFGu In other news I dropped off the S2000 and collected the Porsche Cayman S. MYates Photography by Michael Yates, on Flickr MYates Photography by Michael Yates, on Flickr MYates Photography by Michael Yates, on Flickr I have driven from Farnborough to Yeovil via Poole this morning and was in Yeovil for 8:30 to pay for the car and collect it. I have driven home, collected the Tanabe and delivered that to its new owner. Done about 300miles so far today in the Cayman and i am really enjoying it. I have an autosolo tomorrow, which i will be taking the Cayman on as its my daily, although i think i may be a little slower as i think i will be more careful as its worth a bit more, but we will see. I might as well put a few pics of the Cayman in here MYates Photography by Michael Yates, on Flickr MYates Photography by Michael Yates, on Flickr MYates Photography by Michael Yates, on Flickr MYates Photography by Michael Yates, on Flickr

S2000 Up until today. End of January the Wife and I had a holiday in Cornwall and the engine management light came on, so after some checking the code came back as a Lambda Sensor, so a quick call to Honda and the car was dropped off on the 1st February as it would be covered under the extended guarantee that i have on the car. Sadly the part took 22 days to be delivered to my local Honda garage, so i finally got my car back on the 25th February. 27/2/16 Had an epic day today My alarm went off at 4:40 this morning as I wanted to go for a drive and enjoy my car now I had it back. A mate of mine decided to join me in the passenger seat as his engine has died on his car. Multi-car breakdown covering 2 people

I have a paid bank account as it covers breakdown, travel insurance and gadget insurance. As it's a joint account with the Mrs she gets the same cover, may be a better option?
  5. What happened with this? Is it done yet?

I'm with Swiftcover buy I use my car for business use and do 18k a year, I think it's just the combo of that. I did fit the exhaust last night very happy with the sound of it

The Tanabe turned up today, which is great considering when I ordered it from america I will admit that when I opened the box and saw the tailpipes I was worried, but its only 4mm bigger in height than the standard exhaust tips on my MY08. So tempted to fit it tonight when I get home from work but the sensible side of me says wait until the weekend. Also i sold my Nitron R1 coilovers. Insurance were wanting stupid prices (£1k a year extra), considering they were second hand albeit fully rebuilt but not fitted they sold for £1320, not too bad and puts some money back into my savings

Yeah its for the S2000. It's my daily drive and I'm getting too old (34 ) for loud and droney exhausts

Well my gamble on a second hand exhaust was just that and 2 days ago it started rattling and the wool has come out of the passenger side rear box. I was seriously tempted to order a new one as the sound was really nice but I can't bring myself to spend that much on a cat back exhaust (£1700ish). So I have just ordered a Tanabe Medalion Touring which will be on its way from America soon. It should suit my needs perfectly for daily use but a little more volume than oem.

    Key security at home.

Has the obd2 issue been sorted? Last I saw/read about was that it was probably easier to get a key coded rather than break into the house for the key

    Key security at home.

I used to worry about people breaking in to get car keys, at the end of the day if someone is going to steal my car it's replaceable, annoying but replaceable. I was looking at buying a brand new civic type r or m135i a few months ago and the security side of it was a real concern as I have no garage to hide it or not make it obvious etc. It was a big factor on not going for the m135i

For a little while I have wanted a little more noise from the exhaust. I already have the UK exhaust mod with 28mm pipe and I've heard other cars with a larger pipe and wasn't sure. There were a few exhausts that came up for sale recently and after me being very indecisive I picked up a second hand mugen ap1 exhaust. This one appealed because it doesn't have 4 inch tailpipes which I do not want on the back of my car, hopefully this should be subtle enough. Fitted it this afternoon and so far I'm liking the sound, it's a deeper sound than I was expecting but not too loud and doesn't drone so for me a great compromise I think I need to tweak the position slightly but it's dark and it's not causing issues just me wanting it to sit perfectly

46,590 miles Car was serviced by Honda Bracknell today, yet again they have done a good job. I went for a 12+ service, gearbox and diff oil was also changed. There is a click from the rear which wasn't identified but now I'm thinking about it, it may be the hub nut so I will get a couple of new ones to put on. I like the fact that they collect it and drop it back to me lazy but means I have no hassle and it keeps the full Honda history. Plans are now to fit the winter alloys when the temps drop a bit and continue to use it daily and enjoy it
