    Happy New Year 2021

Good riddance to 2020 - a year of few good memories for anyone I expect, but a good time to realise who are your good friends are and how valuable family is. Best wishes to all in 2021.

    New Tourer owner

Hello Having received the Happy New Year email I was prompted to do my first post (I had intended to do this back in July but events somewhat overtook things! Proud owner of a 20 plate 520d M Tourer which I love, Previously had a base model 5 as a company car which I missed when it went, the new model t***e series that replaced it was OK but it wasn't a 5! Now I've semi retired I've plenty of time to look at all the great content and banter on here while I plan what the next model might be! Her Indoors has always hankered after an X5 but any recommendations on other 5 models (or things to avoid) appreciated, although I don't believe there is any current BMW model that is inherently bad? Hope the last comment hasn't lit the blue touch paper! Happy New Year Trevor

    Happy New Year 2021

Yes, a much better 2021 to everyone. Living in hope that I will once again sit on my favourite seat in my local staring at a freshly poured pint of Guinness. Hope you all brought this year in with a few of the new must have drinks. 'QUARANTINIS'!

These seals are vital for the correct function of the pressure regulator and wear in tese areas is a common cause of low rail pressure. I had some difficulty getting the seals for my unit a couple of years ago and I used Mercedes parts which fitted.

    Happy New Year 2021

I don’t think any of us will be sorry to see the back of 2020. I will not relax until most of the population have had the the vaccine. I’m constantly appalled by the careless attitude of so many people to social distancing etc. This latest massive increase in infections doesn’t surprise me one tiny bit. Ok. Rant over. Have a happy and healthy new year people.

    e28 project

Hi guys, so I've got the car into the lean-to and stripped the rear axle out of it. I bought a 3.25lsd off ebay. Cleaned and painted it in black oxide paint with new oil. Wire wheeled the rear beam and painted it too along with all the other bits and bobs. I ordered new bushes front to back and my plan is to change everything and have the underside treated and undersealed. The rear beam mounting points had started to go, lucky enough the inner skin is only surface rust. A friend of mine is a fabricator and is coming to sort them for me this week. I had to get a patch on the front chassis leg while the car was getting the engine fitted. I've yet to drive the car with the new m54b30 engine as the bushes are all dry rotted and I'd be afraid of something giving up. The dust shields are rotten too, they're more expensive than I thought to replace @250 for the 4 not only that but all the bearings need to be replaced in order to replace these. I'm afraid to calculate it all up On a side note I won this old toyota on a competition raffle page, it will fund some more of my bmw build Happy New year!

Good Evening All, After three and a half years, I am back looking to get into another 5 series. Did own a E34 Touring in Techno-violet once upon a time, which needed some work doing which was beyond me so @Bumbaclut took it off my hands...... Anyway, 2020 sucked so nice way to see in 2021 is looking for a new motor. Judd
