and what’s not to like about this! -
1 pointI've yet to catch the bug myself but I can appreciate some of them, it definitely depends on the shade and car in question. That E28 is gorgeous!

What did you do to your E60/61 today?
dirtydirtydiesel reacted to GoNz0 for a post in a topic
Individual is almost installed, I don't have the rear door cards so I haven't bothered to fit those yet, just ran the plug into the rear door multiplug. At least I have seats back in and bloody hell it puts L7 to shame! -

RIDEX parts twice as cheap - any Good?
d_a_n1979 reacted to Adrian1662 for a post in a topic
Done re profile changes! Ohh I ordered FAG wheel bearing from AD and came fast, the price was super and was the perfect fit so can't say a bad word. Just tempted with that RIDEX brand with parts costing next to nothing... Re Febi Bilstein it is twice as cheap as Brembo for Discs and Pads so will go for it. FB seems to be the go-to part with garages anyway. -

Squeaky dash if you push around the centre? Fixed
bmwf113.0d reacted to spawn9076 for a post in a topic
So I've read a few other people on here suffering with a squeaky dash. I rectified the problem a few weeks ago and didn't post results incase they returned. But it's been 6 weeks and it's squeak free. I'm so happy. I actually got round to fixing the squeak so I could isolate another problem I was having with the anti roll bar noise. But anyway, it's very easy and requires minimal tools. Pull of the front trim careful not to break wires and unplug the start button, the hazard button and unlock door button. Place the trim out of the way. There's two torque screws underneath that hold the I drive in. Remove them and place it to one side. You can discount it if you like. But I left mine balanced on top of the steering wheel whilst still plugged in. Now if you push down on top centre area of the dash you will look for movement underneath. The top dash rubs the lower part where some foam blocks prevent it from touching the lower plastic parts. Now I wedge in my little sandwiches of wood. I used a soft timber wood. And when it was in place gave it a good tap home with a chizzel and a hammer. I've uploaded some pictures hopefully it makes sense. VID_20200910_133233.mp4 -

Farewell F11 Hello G32 6 Series
IINexusII reacted to Matthew Ashton for a post in a topic
To be honest, I don't feel the xDrive under normal driving. Definitely enjoyed it on very snowy roads in France earlier in the year though along with the Winter tyres. There is no doubt that my G32 is more technical than the F11 it replaced, with xDrive, active dampers and 4 wheel steering but I don't have major concerns - warranty expires on the 10th October!. My tyres are wearing very square, on both sets of wheels. -

1 pointCCC wise I found that you need to default code all the CCC related modules, CCC-GW (4 I think in total) then issue a power down command or lockup for 16 mins then it will take.

1 pointA bit more work today; just little bits, but needed doing! Replaced the headlight washer piping from washer bottle to headlight washer jets; OEM BMW piping; the originals had gone brittle with age and the heat in Japan. Bumper off job, so glad of 2 sets of hands at my pals garage Replaced the original fuel filter with a new Mahle one; fuel that came out looked clean enough, but still needed doing! Full coolant flush & refill and a good bleed Full PS fluid flush & refill; old fluid was cloudy and filthy, so well overdue!

1 pointWell it has been behaving absolutely fine today again and I have been digging more about lambda sensor error on the car which probably will not get resolved untill i stick the car on ramp. After spending couple of hours on TIS this evening I came across this. Which we partly know, its filled for life blah blah but its frustrating that it doesnt explain why.. Also since we are not supposed to service it, surely if you replace the valve body unless you flush the whole oil out you fill it back up with new oil therefore ending up in the same result! I presume the bmw atf 3+ is made by shell hence they are saying use the shell one which i dont seem to be able to find anywhere. I wonder if ZF Lifeguard 8 is also made by shell, part of me wants to email ZF see by an off chance if they would clarify this. Anybody as sad as i am and wants to read how the 8 speed gearbox functions see the link below: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f10-520d-lim_201409/wiring-functional-info/power-train/transmission-control-8hptu/C2JNfr4s
