Morning!

Now then, I've been looking on the 'net at various iPhone cases, but I'm stumped! I don't know which one I want. I've been on various websites and watched various youtube videos, but none REALLY catch my eye tbh.

I've heard the Switcheasy rebel is quite a good case, but the strong colours kind of put me off. Maybe just an all black one would be best? I'm ideally looking for as much cover on the phones as possible.

I've seen jeek's carbon fibre cases, and they look lush, but I don't really want to spend £45 (I think he's asking?) for a case that doesn't offer an awful lot of protection.

What have you guys got? Anything good worth recommending? :D

Cool.. it looks a little loose on the phone in the picture to me - is it like that for you? Only reason I ask is, if it's too loose, dust will get in round the sides, and rub against the phone and the case and scratch it all up!

I've got one of these, about 6 quid iirc. Had it 2.5 years or whenever iPhone came out and not a scratch (yet)

I cant see any new scratches or marks on there since using it.

I did have this one

viewtopic.php?f=88&t=46914 but I found it to be fiddly when out and about, plus I kept putting the phone on silent when trying to take it out of the case

Don't suppose you fancy doing me a bit of a discount do you Jeek? Must say, they do look very nice / individual, but I can't really justify £45 for it

I was using this case, but not at the moment as it went a bit slack at the bottom:

And using these screen protectors:

My mate has one of THESE which is quite nice as it protects the phone but you wont realise unless you take it off, that its a case!

I see no point in bulking out this lovely phone/gadget (delete as applicable). I can see the point of a really good screen protector but my 3GS lives quite happily naked in my pocket. However, I do make sure the pocket contains no coins or keys! It's survived a few worrying incidents so far ;)

A mate of mine used to "go commando" till he dropped his and smashed the screen! (I fixed it for him for about £40, I can do this if anyone else needs it) My old 3G had one of these on, which served me well, my new 3GS will get one of these on it very soon!

I see where you're coming from Retset - I used to think this about phones (afterall, what's the point in having a nice phone if it's never on show?), however, after using my old Nokia N96 for 14 months with no case on, it got pretty rough. Lots of scratches, dings from dropping it, screen lifted slightly and dust got underneath (probably as a result of dropping it again - a good case will help protect it from impact!)

And on another note, dropped my iPhone the other day. Got a small scratch on the chrome bezel :( Wish I'd just bought a better case sooner lol. Ordered a Switcheasy Rebel Serpent the next day :D

Bri

It's near on impossible to prevent the chrome screen surround from getting scratched mate!

Ha! Yeh, I know.. but this case covers the chrome, so it should wear better :D

PS - it's not Bri.. I know my online name makes it look like that, but it's not connected to my real name :)

And me ... but remember that by the time the contract is up there will be an iPhone 4GSX or whatever and you won't give a toss about the bezel ;) It ain't worrying me .... nor is the scratch on the screen I can only see if it is turned off and angled just so ....

Mines not on contract, I bought the phone alone. I plan to upgrade when the new one comes out, but want to keep this one as good as I can, so resale value is maximised :)

I've got a rubber/silicon one by Griffin; it's saved my phone from a 2 metre drop off some emergency stairs at work, the phone bounced up a few inches before settling on the floor...never have I been so glad to have bought a case!

http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/6243209/Griffin-iPhone-3GS-3G-Flexgrip/Product.html?ptsl=1&ob=Price&fb=0#

^ that's the one.
