Seems ages since I updated this so thought I'd give a little as to the things I got going on ;0)

2014 NBT install

10.2" screen in bezel made by me

How it should look in dash once fitted

Because of where I want to locate the controller for the NBT. I've had to relocate the hazard/door lock switch to the roof. So this is wot I knocked up where the mic is usually housed

This is where I am at mo with locating the controller for the system

Little video of it all working in car. Still needs

Some coding but works well

I'd read somehwere that ppl had probs with it fouling the airs supply pipes as well unless that was e38 but as you can see from pic when positioned flush with top there is still room underneath for the outer casing of where the ashtray would sit. So I've left that in to provide strength

Hi 3dr,

Excellent progress and the custom work is looking really good! I like the relocation to the roof area for the little panel with the hazard/door lock switches and looks like with some modifying and fabrication/filling the location you've got for the controller is much better ergonomically although still not 'quite' ideal. I think it's going to be the best compromise given the E39 console area ergonomics/design.

For the bezel, roof mount panel piece and the centre console modifications, can you give an estimate on the time you think would be needed to make/fabricate/modify each please?

Aside from that, I've been wanting my rear US plate piece for a while now, and it's one of those things I always say I'll order but haven't got around to, seeing the picture of yours reminded me I need to sort that! The discreet hatch lip, I'm fairly sure is that shaped rubber piece which you've then attached with the double sided sticky tape it comes with and painted over, correct?  have to do my quad exhaust tails too..  good thing is each of these and a number of other modifications are on my list and I'll soon be working my way through them!

Cheers, Dennis!

Hi Dennis. Hard to put a time on the fabrication as I've been doing bits and pieces whilst on sick with a broken collarbone and 2 ribs lol. A lot of time is waiting for fibreglass to go off properly as I tend to leave overnight for it to properly harden. But if I had all parts needed and worked on it full time I'd say a good 3/4 days would have it all done. Maybe quicker now I've done it once

Well as I'm doing this 750iL seat upgrade I thought I may as well make it more difficult and do it to something that's not been done before to my knowledge so I picked these up yesterday ;0)
