Might be interested in the arm rest, but for my rear seat upgrade plans I'll be looking ideally for an E38 bench with switches and wiring to make my life easier. But out of interest does your E38 bench frame have the mountings for the switches, so would be just a case of removing some foam, cutting the leather then the switches would clip in?

Had a quick look at the bench and without seeing one with switches its hard to tell but does have the cut out pictured below where the switches would be located. So depending how the switch pack is held in i think ya could retro fit it ;)

Awesome! Looks like maybe extended leather rather than full leather, but very nice all the same. You almost only see extended leather when it was standard - i.e. an M5 or special edition like Agean or Champagne II. Almost nobody optioned extra leather on a 'standard' model, so good on the original owner of that one and well done on a very rare find :).

Bog standard car has leather only on the seats and the door cards insert panels. Extended leather is then extra leather on the door pulls, centre console and also sun visors. This is what an M5 and some special editions like Agean and Champagne II have as standard. Then there's complete/full/all leather that adds even more leather on the door card main panels (can identify with the stitching round the rim of the door pockets) front footwell/tunnel trims (those little bits under the centre console) lower dash, glove box, upper dash, door tops, lower b-pillar trims - basically everything! :) Occasionally you see different combinations, usually in Individuals or Alpinas, e.g. full leather but not the door and dash tops and the footwell trims still carpet, or something like that. I've recently found out about even more leather bits available - instrument cluster surround and even the steering column surround. Crazy!!

shame there not staying that colour then lol

I wouldn't bother with that loom for the heated seats. If you make one up from scratch you probably save a lot of time.

I've already dug most of it out. Just need the drivers side plug to dashboard wiring which i forgot and the power wire from glove fusebox to under seat fusebox. I want it looking as OEM as possible so using the right colour wires will make me happy and didnt take that long to untape it all anyway. And the rest of the wires will come in handy later ;)

Between myself and yourself and Liam.

We've gathered up a serious amount of oem bmw e39/e38 leather between us.

Never seen beige centre console in leather before.

Any progress on your seats recolouring ?

We do love pics.

Interesting that the dye can also recolour the vinyl (or whatever it is) on the doorcard. Also how did they recolour the carpet?

So in theory I could have any colour combo - I fancy black tops with black handles and insert, rest beige.

Yes pretty Much any combo you want if you can mask up or split it Down. Carpet was just not

Covered up wen spraying so got a good coating of the stuff as well. Could do with a bit More to be honest but ill see how it all looks once fitted. Otherwise it masking it all up and spraying it black to match interior carpet

Wow impressive shopping! Assuming you are relocating mid somewhere else due to the andrive? How come you needed a new one - can't you use existing? And real carbon fibre cloth?
