80+ BMW wheels stolen. Please help..

15 posts in this topic

Hi guys.
80+ BMW wheels were stolen from the 7eam Chizfab container overnight of the 27/28th Nov.
The container is in a row of containers in the yard in Lochgelly which is just north of Edinburgh.

Please please please post this FB link on any and all BMW and wheel sites you know. Some of the wheels were VERY rare and we would rather pay to have them back than have them sold as scrap and destroyed.

Thanks.

They would stick out like a sore thumb if you took them to a bona fide aluminium recyling place. But I would suggest that is where they are going to end up so somebody needs to make some phone calls.

Wow, that's a real bummer. Whoever done it obviously has access to a large lorry, that would have taken some time to unload/load 80 wheels, thieving scum

One of the reasons to get rid of the eng business was a night time ram raid, stolen transit van battered the roller door in, smashed the brickwork and stole a £27 brass bar laying on floor!!

£300k of cnc m/c tools and tooling, no door, smashed brick frame etc etc, insurers cancelled all cover, we slept there for 3 nights until emergency repairs got all safe. No insurance cover for 6 weeks until all repairs done and inspected, nearly £5k damage.

All on good cctv, got away scot free.

9 months before they used a diamond bladed disc cutter to cut strongest locks ever seen from the metal shipping container we used to stock metal.

There is only so much aggro of this stuff you can take, they always get away with it.

Scrappies round here will pay cash for non ferrous, no questions asked and scum bags steal everything - they even cut the cats off the cars parked in the garage one week end.

JK, I would collect all the local scrappies phone numbers and say you have chatted to the cops about the favourites for taking this stuff.

I Emailed my local branch of thewheelspecialist.co.uk today and told them what happened, and sent some sample pics of the wheels involved, on the off chance that someone decides to refurb and sell some of these (unlikely, I know) - within 10 minutes of Emailing the manager, he had sent the Email to head office, phoned them, and got them to distribute the Email to every branch in the country!  Top man!

Know the feeling, was burgled twice in 9 months at home and once at my yard all within 9 months! Sounds like an inside job, don't you think. How would the thieving scum know to pick one container out of a row of em. They must have known what was in it. Scrap regulation was supposed to stop this but the scrappies are as bigger crooks as the thieves.

Sorry to hear about your theft, I hope you you are able to carry on working, arseholes are not good enough words to describe the pond life that did this! Good luck and may the scrotums of this vermin simply rot and drop off!
