Adeel's E39 525d

Recommended Posts

Had the armrest back out again so I could for some spacers to the rear hinges and trim the eject box holder. So much easier with a Dremel!

I also saw that guide but unfortunately without the pics it seems very involved but is better as it does retain the sliding mechanism from the e38 armrest.

End of an era :( I think you will regret it...

But this car drives very well! A great buy for someone

Is it advertised?

You could sell the M5 seats separately, maximise your income..

I'm already regretting it. New owner came to pick it up today and it's on its way to Manchester.

Mo has promised to keep it cared for and I'll hold him to that. Hopefully he will take on this thread and keep us updated

Yep.

This is the last picture I have of it. I very much doubt I will ever like a car so much or want to spend so much money and time on looking after it. It was with us for 40k miles and 6 years and never let us down. The forum has been a great source of knowledge and a friendly place over the years.

I'm Mo, proud new owner of adeel43's E39. It was a pleasure driving this back on Saturday,  loved every minute of it. Everything was tight as. Credit to him. He's is a really nice guy too.

Car went to body shop yesterday to get the back bumper done. Eager to get it back. Going to order a twin exhaust tip to complete the diffuser.... exciting times..

Other work am going to do soon:

1) alloy refurb

2) disc and pads

3) maybe a remap ???

4) restore seats

any suggestions recommendations would be great, new to all of this so bare with

I do intend to continue the thread so ill keep it updated.

Welcome pal ;)

Good to see the cars stayed on the forum :) My previous 530i disappeared into the ether unfortunately even though I tried to get the dude who bought it to sign up

Get your own Project thread going as this may get lost with it being Adeels etc

Hi mate

That bumper was from my 530d, the seats were out of my 540 and the roof and rear blind out of my 523 :):)

I can't believe you live a stone's throw from my parents (Church Street), I used to deliver papers to those flats.

Ohh and lovely E39 :-)

Have lived here for years!

E39 was lovely but am sure Mo will finish and then maintain it!

Hey all. I have had the boot lip spoiler put on earlier on this week and it went to paint shop yesterday. I am really happy with the outcome it looks awesome, break discs and pads and service next, May upgrade the speakers inside too.

Will keep you all updated.
