Great looking car man, inspired me to do a few things I hadn't thought of to mine.

Hope to get it looking a fraction as good as this one does.

Can I ask how much the tints cost? That place is only a few miles from me and I have been thinking about getting that done!

Thanks for the kind words!

My car already had tints but the back 2 doors had been scratched by my kids so I had those redone. It was £80 for the back doors, if you need the main back window done also I think it was about £150 but the quality of the workmanship and materials is well worth it.

Yes thanks mate. I picked up the bench last night from Bek, nice chap too! Just need to work out the best way to repair some of the marks and dye the blue bits.

£250 for the sills filler cap and headlights. I'm sure I got a discount as a returning customer and because it took a week!

Amazing isn't it! These cars are so fulfilling to work on and even after years of ownership and work there is still so much to do! Needs a good detail, wheel refurb, sport bumpers, e38 armrest fitted, m5 rear bench repair and recolour, high OBC, electric column, memory mirrors, some arms and discs/pads....list wont ever end!

The eagle eyed among you will see a sport bumper in the car for the front. It's at the paint shop now so hoping to get it back in a few days0d8e60f023f8de32699155caa051a75c.jpgb52587f48abae01fd9f7761f49f991e4.jpg

Looking good. I really need to get my bumpers done and the 'normal' bits of rust sorted

A few little niggles. The car does not like the new front sensors even though they are all known good so I'll have to spray the old ones black. The fog lights also have different plugs so need to sort that asap

I'm also going to enter it into a local car show next year as a modern classic. Have a target of 11 months to get it the way I want

Well that was unfortunate. Temp repair at roadside from the AA and proper repair from the mechanic yesterday.89e473e99a69aef17c2693251f7d2005.jpg28358d6a9ba819792507bf1d9fcf68fa.jpg130eacf77e33aa7b71a893d11f924b0c.jpgfd8cd5c9f9327eff800ca410fca1a5d8.jpg4aa753ba744bd2bbd4002dfff11ccfdd.jpg

Productive day yesterday. Fixed the dodgy front parking sensor so PDC working again. Just swapped our one of the front sensors in the end and that sorted it but had to go through them one by one to find the broken one. Used this satin black paint to respray one of the old blue ones...was impressed with it and loads left over. Will use it paint the wiper arms and the upright exterior trims on the doors as they are faded and marked.329e724e0536d6904b59bce7edc7d850.jpg

Also decided to tackle the E38 armrest I've been ignoring for far too long. I started by taking the E39 armrest apart and seeing the difference between them. My e39 armrest is tilting and sliding so likely added to the chalenge. After much cutting and filing I ended up with the e38 top fitted to the e39 base so very happy with that. Just need to file down the rear hinges on the e38 side compartments and butcher the middle compartment from the e38 armrest as it catches in loads of places. 98bdd94b0a4b6ea2e8370895cb23ac7c.jpg612af6eeb19d2a8d6239efefa9cc172e.jpga53d9156fae08fb5c80018fa5416dcac.jpge9e66dd75b6f4e545ba65fd84f3768c2.jpg2fad02c279d530ac3c077fb7e64558ff.jpga6ef6901690f2aaeaf4dfec0eae754bc.jpg2fc3760e2679729ce2f94a28a1918f46.jpg
