I hate diesels.

My zt cdti has just started playing up with an intermittent fault (don't you just hate those ones?) and is hiccuping and losing power.

Can't wait til I'm back in a petrol, much easier and cheaper to diagnose!

The only derv ive had was a 320d with the Bosch vp44. It was a peach of an engine. Never let me down in 43k. I believe it was fitted to the rover 75 too. Should have bought one of those instead if you wanted to satisfy your rover fetish lol

Lol, I am in no doubt that it's a rover, built with BMW parts ;).

It's the BMW engine thats playing up ;).

I'm trying to get rid of it but when it has a fault like this it makes it harder :(

Lol agreed, you can knock the Rover's all you want but that one has a BM powerplant.

Anyway, be thankful it's not a K series petrol :)

I'd rather gave a K series. My 214 did 2 years of teenage driving abuse with me then another 2 years of rev limiter loving with my mate. 170k no faults, no head gaskets.
My 530d has been the worst car I've ever owned. It's been broken more than working, I dragged it home on a rope last night.

Well, for anyone who cares (lol) it looks like the maf sensor. Cheap fix and then onto a new owner hopefully (been offered £2k for it :). Next stop M5 ownership!
