Hya all. Just found the reason for my PPPPHHHTTT noise n low power from previous thread.
Exhaust has snapped clean off about 2mm off back of turbo!!! So, am looking at decat I suppose.

There are two on eBay and I'm thinking of the cheaper one as heard a few nightmares with the more expensive one. Don't care about stainless as cheaper ver will last a good few years anyway

Questions if i may...
Anyone got a decat for a 530d they no longer want? Don't mind if used a bit
Anyone have news on either kit on eBay? Good/bad?

Lastly, anyone got news on real gains from decat? I've a mapped 530d running 242bhp and can't think how it could get much nicer but heard good gains on decat

What's the price difference between the two?

I have a friend breaking a 530d with a decat, It was only fitted 4 months ago and has done around 1000miles. I will ask him how much he wants.

Re difference. One is 179 and other is 250. Stainless or not I think but am not bothered re stainless really.

Was just wondering if any had fitted either or both to get opinions.

There was a group buy of the eco tune one of which I had 2, no problems for me with either,
have a look or do a search on eco tune and see what others say.

Cheers for the heads up. It's a fair bit more expensive than other one. Wondered if it a better fit or less hassle. Better made etc.

I spoke to my friend, his is the NON Ecotune one, he said he wants £130 inc postage.

I have seen it myself, its off the car, its in perfect condition.

Hya. It's only 179 brand new. As its used I'm happy at 100 but any more I will buy new with guarantee. At 100 it will be done n dusted. Dead quick. If not ill get a new one Monday.

179 for the one I'm looking at on eBay. I'll also collect tomorrow if near Cambs. Cash too. It's good at 100 as its used and over half price paid mate.
Up to you guys. Could like it but at 130 it's too much for used. Dont mind fetching too
